My review is based on my experience using these with watercolor and gouache paint.Since the canvas is not porous, my paint doesn't really sink in and adhere to these canvases as well as when I use watercolor paper. This makes getting an even, opaque finish a tad bit tricky. It also takes a little skill to layer colors (since the paint reactivates very easily when wet). However, with practice, it can definitely be done. One more con I had is that pencil lead does not erase well from these; it leaves a very heavy mark. I fixed this by instead using a light gray color pencil to make my guidelines, and the marks left behind were a lot easier to cover.On the other hand, these are somewhat beneficial for when you make mistakes. Getting an accidental paint stroke off of these canvases is as easy as running a wet brush over the paint and then wiping away the unwanted paint. You can't really do this on paper, as the color is actually sinking into the paper, rather than sitting on top of the canvas.Overall, I think these are nice because I can use/sell my art without having to get a frame to put the paper in, since they are sturdy on their own. They are cost-efficient and not bad for the price. The varying sizes gives a nice variety, and I liked that each one was individually wrapped to keep it clean until you get ready to use it. Would probably work even better for anyone who's trying with a medium that isn't water-based. I would order again.

I liked the price and for just some fun painting on the side these are perfect. However- a lot of the canvases had a curve to them- a bow like look which doesn't go away after painting and I haven't been able to really flatten them back out. Perfect product for kids and a fun girls paint night but if you are wanting to paint something that you keep forever and want a nice lasting finish I recommend spending a little more to get a higher quality canvas. I also have a preference for boxed canvases.

First one I got was all damaged, they packaged them smallest to largest. When I received my second there were only 3 layers: the biggest pannel, the two smallest in the middle, and the the second biggest pannel as the third layer! This seems to have been the trick to protect them because they were in seemingly the same box and same packaging.

Product arrived on time and in great condition. Amazon A+ customer service. Nice assortment of size canvases. would definitely recommend this for beginners and expert alike for painting. I purchased for Latex paints and worked wonderful.

Do not waste your money. It is cheap for a reason. The canvas splits apart from its base so it's literally worthless. Useful only for scratch canvas, not actual painting.

In every area but one leaks canvas boards worked as well as any of used. But. . .The canvas pulled away from the board on back. I’ve only used one so I hope this was just a fluke.2nd reviewI’ve now used about half of these canvas boards and only two of them have given many problems so I’ve upped it one star.

As advertised... These little canvases are perfect for both me and my kids to do some arts & crafts projects... Plenty sturdy, inexpensive, work great with pretty much any kind of paint I use...My kids love the mini-canvases... and I just think they are a good value all around... you can easily do some home-made and yet professional looking art with em...Can't go wrong...

I do a lot of dot painting and found these boards to be outstanding to work with. Where a regular canvas can stick to your dotting tool as you pull up, these lie flat and do not have any give to them. They also fit really well inside manila envelopes making it much easier to mail these to friends and family as gifts. I will definitely be ordering another pack in the very near future.
