A More Perfect Union: The Story of Our Constitution

Educational for kids.

I read this book out loud to my kids (13, 10, & 8) as part of homeschool today, and it was great! Engaging enough to hold their attention, not too long or difficult. I like that it gives a summary of the Amendments at the end of the book.

Love these books. Perfect for elementary school. You can use all or parts to cover lessons on US and VA History!

Beautiful book!! Perfect for my 3rd grader. The pictures are lovely, the words are easy to read and understand (without being too wordy or boring), and the message was clear. My son truly enjoyed the book and after quizzing him on a few things, it was obvious that he retained the information! HIGHLY recommend!!!

The book recites the very basic facts of the summer of 1787 and the beginning job of putting the Constitution to work, such as electing a president.I think it is a good intro resource,but may be a little dull. I teach secial ed on the high school level(EH/LD)it is hard to keep their attention. I often use picture books to support or introduce a topic. The kids are on different reading levels and I often give them scavenger hunts and encourage the use of all books and resources I bring in,so they are not embaressed. The book has additional informational list in back. I think this is an adequate addition to my resource library.

Everyone should read about our country....especially EVERY CITIZEN ......AND.....it is very interesting readingWho knew all of these people would meet and literally MAKE a new country with such a successful result....wish I could have been there!

Really good book for school age kids. I read it to my 5th graders. They really liked it and many asked each day if we'd read more. The pictures are great and it's written in a way that kids can easily understand.

Constitution Day is explained with great text and illustrations!
