Ashly Protea 4.8SP 4 x 8 Loudspeaker System Processor

Until I experienced this Ashly, I was of the opinion that extra analog to digital and digital to analog steps, involved in an external processor, is detrimental to the fidelity of audio. I was also of the opinion that the analogue crossovers, inside the speakers are best suited or alternately, an external active all analogue crossover would be better.Well, I am happy to say that the a/d and d/a steps are not pretty much sonically transperent, with the Ashly - note that not all processors are created equal and other lesser priced models might or might not be as good. The DBX/Behringer might be "good enough" for most people, at a lot lower price but if you are seeking the best, Ashly is one of the best (perhaps it has an equal or superior brand but I don't know its name).This Ashly is superb! It is very convenient to set up, using USB/Laptop. Its supplied software is very easy to use.
