So...i have this instrument for 3 months now and I must say i am more than happy. I read a comment saying that you better let the instrument sit fir 2-3 days at you home to acclimate before you tune it. I did that and it's a good idea. Since the instrument arrive in winter time and condensation is bad for wooden instrument, the instrument spent his first 24 hours in his package before I open it. Dulcimer usualy have 2 strings instead of 4 for a Santoor so I took of 2 of them because i tend more on the european medieval repertoire. I tuned it in G major instead of G minor like they propose and it really sound like a dulcimer. In order to have the right notes on both side of the silver strings, I had to move some bridges to get the right tuning. I'm very satisfied. The shipping is lightning fast from Turkey to Eastearn Québec in a few days.
