Without a doubt, buy it now
I first learned about Paul Stammets and his mushrooms in a podcast. My good friend also recommended his supplement based on first hand experience. I decided to try it out, and at first, like with any supplement, I expected to barely feel an effect. I was wrong. You can feel a stimulant effect within the first week. Could be placebo, who knows, but the most quantifiable benefit I received from dosing lion's mane is that my chronic headaches and migraines greatly diminished. That's not an advertised benefit, could be a side effect, but I value it greatly for this among other benefits. Through surface level research I learned that when supplementing lion's mane, it's advised you dose for 2 weeks at a time. Meaning, 2 weeks on and 2 weeks off. I'm testing this out now, will update review with findings.Update 12/6/22: I'm now wrapping up week 11 on this supplement and here's what I found. If you take it first thing in the morning on an empty stomach, it works best. The strong stimulant effect I was feeling at first is mostly gone, and this is not to say supplementing this doesn't sharpen my senses, it does, it's just curved down it's coffee-like effect in me. Disclaimer: I'm hyper sensitive to caffeine!I continue to take it because it helps me feel more comfortable in my ability to handle a tough (mental) workload. It could very well be a placebo effect, but I feel I even have a better attitude about things while supplementing with lion's mane. Strangely, this also greatly lessens my chronic migraines. I noticed that strange benefit right away, and i noticed that when I'm cycling off lion's mane, the migraines don't immediately resurface, but if i begin to go longer than a week without the lion's mane, the migraines worsen back to their normal levels. That benefit alone is enough to convert me into a lifelong customer.

I am not sure about this product
I got this because it is from Host Defense and the reputation of the owner, but I cannot tell if it is working or not. I definitely feel it working more with other brands, so what I think is it may have too many fillers and not be pure enough? I think it is good value for the money, but it also is not pleasant to taste and it gives my coffee a bitter taste. So, I may go back to capsules and maybe a different brand.

Good brand
This was recommended to me by my personal consultant after I had a bad case of COVID. Have been taking it for about three years. Mix it in with my beet powder and collagen powder. Got another brand one day that was less expensive and it stunk. Couldn't get it down. Threw it in the trash. This mixes in and I don't taste it!

Quality Lion's Mane
If you are unfamiliar with Paul Stamets you should look more into him and his products. He is a leader in mycology and really cares about the help he can provide with quality products and information. Results: I do feel as if Lion's Mane has added some more clarity to my daily brain function. I have been using it for a month now. I don't quite know how to describe it as this isn't a miracle drug but I can just say I have less foggy days have a better well being day to day. I have noticed it is easier to focus and learn things through my new job and grad school. There is lots of good medical research to back up these claims.Consumption method: The quality seems great as it is grated well and consistently. Next time I may get the pills though, but the price per does it much better in this product. I first tried taking it straight and washing it down with a gulp of water because I thought I would have no problem. However, it didn't go quite as planned. I started putting it in my coffee everyday but I am a stickler of the residue of little bits that stay behind. I went back to taking it straight and it really isn't that bad now. The taste is almost like a woody undertones but besides that it is more of a texture thing with how it mixes if you are trying to take it straight. If you are able to mix it in a drink there is no taste to me and the texture is minimal, think medium pulp orange juice.
