They're well made, but they were still too stiff for what I needed them for.

I used these on an overhead cupboard in my camper. They do keep the door propped open to make access easier and more convenient. They're not hard to install, but it took a couple tries before I got it right. It would have been very helpful if there were instructions, as well as information about which size strut to choose. The opening of my cupboard is only 7 1/2" high and I was lucky that these struts just barely fit, with some tinkering. I'm pleased with the final result, but the process could have been much easier.

I used this in a pvc bed tent fashioned like a monorail train. The front lifting door needed something to hold the door open while my son climbs in and out. This worked perfectly, though I opted for different brackets also sourced here on Amazon. I just had to place the brackets to get the leverage correctly set to match the push of the gas cylinders to the weight of the door. I had an extra set of screw holes to hide after placing them too close to the hinge where the door was too heavy. Once I got that right by shifting the brackets further out, this was a perfect!

Great product, used it as a replacement on my boat cabin door. Has excellent holding power and keeps the door either open or closed in the roughest seas. I did order the 2 pack, only used one. I will find a use for the other.

Worked well to replace struts in my RV sunroof.

I was very please with the strength that these shocks offer but for the application that I was working on it require a smaller size so I returned them. Definitely I will recommend them. well made for price pay.

Replaced the locking hinge I had previously installed with this. It holds the lid open at the appropriate angle for my camera mount to point properly at the bed. I do not have to worry about the lid coming unhinged or falling while I am trying to take a photo of my laser bed. Very pleased with the product thus far.

I used this for a belt sander I built fit tension on the belt and they work great
