Best Iron Supplement for Anemia Recovery – Superior to Basic Ferrous Sulfate
Zahler Iron Complex beats standard OTC irons, hands-down. Ferrochel chelate absorbs 2-4x better than ferrous sulfate with zero stomach upset—gentle even on empty stomach. All-in-one formula: 25mg iron + vitamin C (boosts uptake 3-6x) + methylated B12/folate (essential for RBC production blocked by deficiencies) + L-histidine (nerve/hemoglobin support). Raised my ferritin 20% faster than slow-release sulfates; no constipation. Perfect for anemia + neuropathy recovery. Highly recommend!

Increased iron count
I bought this when my husband who had to have an iron infusion to increase his iron at one point had his iron count began to drop again. It worked really well for increasing his iron count and I've continued to buy it for several years. His current blood specialist doesn't recognize this brand and has switched him to a different one. If I don't see the same improvement I will be switching him back to this one. I've used this product myself after a surgery when I had low iron counts a and it got me back to a normal level better than the product the Dr had suggested. I really like Zahlers, it had no bad after taste, and did not have the constipation issues common with iron supplements. I feel it is a good product, the current specialist said she will check out it as she'd never heard of it.

The only iron supplement for me
I love this iron. I have iron-deficient anemia due to menorrhagia and I've needed infusions in the past. My ferritin had dropped to 4 before my last one. My hematologist wants me on daily supplementation, for obvious reasons. Every kind of ferrous sulfate I have tried leaves me with horrible constipation, feeling queasy, and still needing infusions. I made it through a pregnancy and c-section with Zahlers and my iron levels were shockingly great. My other two children were before Zahlers and I had issues. I stopped taking it for a several months out of total stupidity and last month found myself short of breath, dragging after one flight of stairs, and exhausted, with my heart rate sky high, my pulse ox low. It was 88 one morning after waking up. I panicked, assumed my heart was failing. My heart wasn't happy, but not failing. Duh. I'm anemic. Such an idiot. I was given two weeks to get my levels going up. I started Zahlers again, and over the past couple weeks my energy has returned, brain fog lifted, my pulse ox is 100% again, and my heart rate while doing regular daily tasks is 90 or below and down a few ticks every day. It was regularly at 125 until a week ago. Until I finally have a hysterectomy and my hematologist says I'm safe, I'm not stopping again. I am SO thankful for this stuff. And that I can easily afford it. I take it as directed in the morning, and take my vitamin D in the afternoon. It's easy to swallow, and no constipation or nausea. I highly recommend it.

Hello Red Blood Cells!
Fellow anemics, this is the iron supplement that you need! I was diagnosed with iron-deficiency anemia two years ago after I fainted on the subway and woke up in a stranger's arms in Times Square. My doc's advice was to take iron pills, so I went out and bought the cheapest kind I could find. Do not make the same mistake! The cheap iron pills (ferrous sulfate) made me so nauseous and sick that I couldn't continue taking them. I didn't even think about taking iron pills again until very recently when I realized that my anemia could be responsible for my perpetual exhaustion and thinning hair. Anyways, I did a whole lot of research on iron supplements this time around and discovered this amazing blood builder. I just started taking it a week ago but I have had zero side effects, even on an empty stomach, and have already noticed an increase in my energy level. I really think that for the price this is the best supplement for someone suffering from anemia. Just look at the ingredients in each ONCE-DAILY pill: (1) 139% DV of Iron Ferrochel Chelate: The safest and most effective form of iron. The chelate structure allows your body’s iron stores to control how much iron is absorbed so that you don’t absorb too much. The chelated form also causes less gastrointestinal upset, has no taste, is more effective at a lower dose, and does not block the absorption of other nutrients (typical iron pills, when dissolved in the stomach, become charged ions that can block absorption of other nutrients such as calcium, vitamin E, and vitamin C.) (2) 100% DV Vitamin C: Increases the body's absorption of iron. (3) 1333% DV Vitamin B12: Vital to the production of RBCs. (4) 100% DV Folic acid (Vitamin B9): Works with Vitamin C & B12 to generate and develop RBCs. (5) 100 mg. of L-Histidine: An essential amino acid that cannot be formed by other nutrients and must be in the diet to be available to the body. L-histidine is required by the body to regulate and utilize essential trace minerals such as copper, zinc, and iron.

Non-constipating aid for blood donors
I donate blood regularly, so I need to take iron every day. This is the only formula that I have found that does not constipate me. Every time any woman mentions tiredness or anemia, I ask her about iron supplementation and always send a link or photo for this product.
