The same great game with Mario on top
We've played and enjoyed the original Labyrinth with the grandparents for a couple of years now, and this year we thought we'd get our own, and opted for the Super Mario-themed version to add a bit of interest and stick with a family theme. The game is just the same: challenging and enjoyable for children (from 7+) and adults, without too many complex rules to contend with to get started. If I was going to be critical, and I will in this review (and take a star off for it), I don't like that the depictions on the cards don't always exactly match those on the board. They're sometimes framed differently, or the characters are in a different pose, which means it takes a moment or two longer to identify or find what you're looking for.

Great game but tricky to see
We bought the Harry Potter version. It is a great game - the concept is solid. You need to visualise what will happen when you push the piece onto the board so you can plan your route. However, the images are rather small and the background very visually cluttered so I would recommend the original version. That said, once we'd played it a few times we got used to the visual clutter but I do wish we'd bought the original version as it would have been more accessible to the younger member of the family.
