I’ve seen a lot of mixed reviews for this stuff, I can only give my experience with it. My dog is an 11 year old Pomeranian “throwback” meaning she’s a full size 15+ lb pom. Her overall health is very good but I started to notice her eyes were a little glossy about two years ago and I’ve been giving her this stuff since. The gloss was dramatically reduced and has stayed that way, she seems to eat this stuff no problem and I’ve noticed no side effects or illness from using this product. I take her to the vet twice a year, make sure her drinking water (I give her water from the same gallon I drink out of) is clean and replaced few times a days and I take her on walks.I feel awful for the negative reviews because I know how hard it is to watch your little buddy get ill. My advise is to maybe try smaller servings at first and see how they react and take your dog to the vet to make sure they are in good health.

My shu tzu is 12 years old and it seemed like overnight she could not see. She was stumbling and running into things and her eyes were so cloudy. I was beginning to think I would have to put her down. I love my dog and was trying anything I could think of to help. I saw this and after reading reviews I bought some. What a miracle product. After about 4 days she is walking to the door again and her eyes are much clearer. They do not look cloudy anymore. I was having to carry her to go out because she would walk off the edge of the porch. She can see where she is going now. I am so thankful you cannot fathom how grateful I am to be able to find something that helped her. Thank you so much for a great product!!!

Gave a 4 star rating because we've only used this 1mth. Our dog lost 1eye from a trauma caused accident that brought on severe glaucoma in 12 hrs. Being 2yrs,we hoped some macular regeneration could come back. Tried for 3 mths w/7 prescr. to save her eye. Ended up removing it. Was told her other had stress from the swelling & might have 7 yrs before blindness in that one. After 3yrs she bumped it running on our property & she will go blind,but need a stint to give her 2-3 yrs of sight. Trying this 1st to see if we can keep swelling down. Also,using Cold water Omega Oil & Co Q10 that I share 1/2 capsule with. The flavor is loved by our dog & cat. Using on cat for prevention. Ordering another canister & pray all these products work!

My cat wouldn’t eat it at first, when I add just a little he would, is an acquired taste and my cat is picky. Seemed to be a good quality.

Oh I wish this product was good. My girl had terrible eye boogies so I thought I would give this a try! First couple days she was fine but day 3 in the morning (that is when zi give her this on her food) she all of a sudden got shaky and lost her balance! It freaked me out! I just calmed her and she shook for about 15 seconds. Then she seemed okay and fell asleep while I worked. Then at night she had another episode, but then was fine. We went to bed and I prayed so hard for my baby girl. If she did it again in the morning I was taking her in to the vet. By morning, she was fine! Hungry and normal so I took her off it for a couple days and she was good. I incorporated it this morning into her food and a couple hours later it happened again! I just threw it in the trash and now I pray she doesn't have any more episodes because of this. I do NOT RECOMMEND this product. Something in it, made my girl almost dizzy like, shaky, and off balance. My poor baby, I feel like a terrible mama! :(

There are four of us that take care of a group of feral brothers and sisters in the neighborhood. We have all been caring for them since they were very young. They are our family. Well there is this one black and white Tabby that we call Dinky that has been squinting with hazy eyes like cataracts. I am a researcher, so I went online and found this product and gave it to one of the daily feeders. I couldn’t get back outside until a week later (since I work from home) and when I came back out, one of the caregivers said “Shunda look at his eyes, it worked” in disbelief. You can see the yellow very clearly. He opens his eyes wide whereas before he squinted. It was not looking good because he is feral. He has some other issues subsequently I am checking out Mercola’s other products. But thank you Dr. Mercola. I have a before picture but I don’t have an after so I won’t post but trust and believe the Eye Care is a miracle care.

I would definitely consult your vet cause it seems from other reviews some pups have had an adverse reaction. That has not been my experience, my dogs eyes (10 yr old terrier mix) are visibly clearer after a few weeks of a scoop once a day. I mix it with some wet food and she eats it no problem. I switched to another eye supplement for a while and noticed her eyes getting cloudy so I switched back and they are big and bright once again. I love this product and have had no issues, after seeing some of the other reviews I may start giving every other day just in case.

I tought this had several herbs in it, but it was my mistake for not reading. All it is is vitamin C. I put it in my dogs food but have seen no clearing of her eyes or nothing. Save your money, instead do this hack I learned. Add some lemon or lime drops to your dogs water bowl daily. This will give them natural vitamin C for less money and one lemon goes a long way. Just make sure not to over due it and the water becomes sour. I do 3 to 4 drops as my dogs share a smaller water bowl. They don't even notice it. Since Amazon asks for taste, I have taken to taste stuff, also to see what my poor dogs will taste. It tastes a bit sweet, mildly.
