Salewa Men's Ms WildfireTrekking & Hiking Shoes

Had a few pairs of these shoes and I think they are fantastic. I buy half a size up for a perfect fit. The shoes are comfortable out of the box and feel very supportive. Very grippy sole and well made throughout so very durable. Sturdy shoes for use during any type of outside activity. Certainly waterproof for me keeping my feet dry in severe downpours and walking through heavy mud and marsh land. They are expensive but bought in a sale so very much worth the money! They look good too.

As a climbing instructor I used all sort of approach shoes over the years. By far this is my favourite as it is narrow enough for my man sized woman shaped feet. The traction on wet grass is as good as a decent mountaineering boot and the edging is good enough to climb up to 6c indoors. Highly recommended. Only downside so far that it runs hot during the summer but that would be expected with the gore Tex version. Durability will turn out over time but having other salewa shoes I doubt it would be an issue.

Nice shoe, size as expected, I have narrow feet so fit great. These are “NOT” GTX model as per the description this item is the MS which is in the title of the item.

Loved these trainers, very well made and great colour! Unfortunately, Salewa have changed the footbed from my previous trainers and these were too tight on my toes.

These are my second pair as I got on so well with the first ones. However, just like the first pair I had they have started to split on the side. I thought this was due to the amount of wear I put on the first pair I had however having had this pair since January, they’re doing the same thing. I wear them most days for work as an Outdoor Activity Instructor and have used them on long walks and scrambles. Great shoe to be honest, but the weakness is the outer front section at the join as in the picture.

This is my first pair of Salewa shoes which I decided after lots of research. I wore Salomon for 10 years, then Merrell the past year and a half. I really like Salomon trail running shoes as day hiking shoes, and the Merrell's I had were good, but never loved them, too stiff and a little clunky. My criteria for shoes this time was one that would be good for the high desert I am often in here in New Mexico as a rural land photographer. The priority was breathability, as the Merrell's had a Goretex waterproof lining, not needed for the desert. Then I wanted good protection from cactus spines and similar. I needed to shoe to be light as well. This brought me to looking for an approach shoe. Salewa appealed to me from a breathability standpoint with its all mesh upper, but ballistic mesh so it would be strong enough in the desert to resist spines and rocks. Loved the styling of the blue as well. The issue then was what size. I wear size 11 universally. After reading the few reviews for this shoe in particular and Salewa in general, including the similar Vent model, I decided to go a half size up. For my universal otherwise size 11 shoe foot, the 11.5 Salewa fit perfectly. They have met all my needs, as my feet sweat less in the desert, they have held up to cactus spines and rocks, and they are very light. The surprise was how comfortable they were on trail, possibly the best shoes for that I have ever owned. I would not wear these as daily shoes on pavement. I wear them specifically for when I will be in the desert, on trail, etc. These are a specialty shoe and for the price, should be kept for that use only, not wearing the lugs down on pavement anyway. I am now a Salewa loyalist for hiking shoes! They won me over from the very first step!

Je chausse du 40 et j'ai commandé le 40. Le produit est beaucoup trop petit et me fait mal au pied, même en retirant la semelle qui finalement rend la chaussure moins confortable. Le reste rien à dire. Chaussure de qualité.

Hej tu Marcin że Szklarskiej buty wildfire 1 są najlepsze na świecie ale też najmniej żywotne. Wszystkie mają feler z przodu na materiale. Mimo to co roku kupuje kolejne. Druga edycja nie jest tak wygodna.

Wandelen aangenaam maar beide schoenen scheuren aan de rand van de rubberen neusversteviging. Geen aanrader!
