I ordered this skirt because I wanted some long full skirts with elastic waist. I ordered the Navy Blue skirt hoping it would be a nice bold neutral. When I got it out of the package today I loved the fullness of it, the wide elastic waist band, the length, the tiers, Everything...but the color. I was expecting it to be a navy blue or a dark blue. What I received was more of a denim color, like a light denim shirt. This denim color will not go with the navy striped shirt I was planning on wearing it with. The unwashed material is also rather stiff, but I'm hoping that it will soften after I wash it, as it currently does not swish around like a full skirt should. The material is not high quality so be aware, I think the workmanship of the skirt is fine. All in all, If I saw this skirt in a store for this price I WOULD buy it, but never in this color. I won't send it back, I will probably order another one in another color, that's all.

i am not a belly dancer, but i'm wiccan, and for my next ritual i wanted something tasteful, classic, and black to wear. i needed something sturdy that i could relax and also dance in. i was unsure at first if this skirt would work out, but i LOVE it.it's so well made and seems sturdy enough to hold up well. i love how much fabric is in it, it makes it easy to wear and very elegant. the length and fit of it make it very flattering too.i'm 5' 5'' and a size 4 with some curves, so broomskirts at the hip often make me look VERY short and even dumpy, this did NOT. i had expected to wear it at the waist for those aforementioned reasons, but my waist is 26 inches and the skirt at it's unstretched state is *just* above that circumference, so it falls naturally at the top of the hip, but it hangs SO well. this skirt is a wonderful addition to my wardrobe and i'm glad i didn't skimp and go for something cheaper (which would've been much less of a product).i recommend this skirt to anyone wanting a classic, easy to wear, and easy to pair skirt.

If you like the gypsy/boho/hippie type look, this skirt is perfect! I bought this for belly dancing, and to also use as a summer maxi skirt. It's extremely comfortable, flowy and lightweight. The waist is elasticized, so it fits my 30" waist, or 36" hips without pinching or digging into me. I am 5'5", and it only shows the tops of my bare feet. I also like the fact that it has its own short slip underneath, so it won't be see -through when wearing this white skirt out in the sun. And it doesn't make me look bulky or have bigger hips than I do. The only negative I have is that it's pretty wrinkled from shipping, but I'll just run my steamer over it and it'll be fine. Overall, I LOVE it!

Great quality skirt! I ordered it for a Halloween costume, but it's definitely not halloween costume quality. It's nicely finished at the bottom with overstitching. The skirt itself is slightly sheer, which you can see at the edges of the skirt in this photo. But, it has a slip layer that makes it more opaque to the knee. I got it in black and the color is nice. The waistline is a bit more generous than the description. I wear a size 14 (38" waist) and the skirt fits. It's a tiny big snug in the waistline, but not bad considering it says it only goes up to 32" in the item description. Shipping was as expected when ordered prime.

This skirt is gorgeous and lightweight, twirls beautifully and has a simple elastic waistband. The waistband was much too tight for my preference, especially where I like to wear the skirt low on my hips for belly dancing, and the skirt was far too long for me (I'm 5'4"). So the elastic isn't really a one-size-fits-all deal, and I ended up removing it and replacing it with a drawstring. Material is a somewhat coarsely woven cotton, with a matte finish. While the coarseness of the weave isn't very noticeable and a lining material underneath prevents the skirt from becoming see-through, the material does fade somewhat after two or three washings to a slightly dull black/grey. Also, the hem of the skirt can become bunched up very easily, so I'd recommend either ironing the hem or hanging the skirt to dry. Overall, I wish I'd paid less than $30 for this item because it doesn't fit perfectly and requires some maintenance if it's to be used for performing, but it's still a good beginner item.

I purchased this skirt in Both Blue and Black. I am 5'11" and have a 42" Hips and it is not tight at all,the skirt also almost touches the floor (perfect length). Very light weight, and there is a small slip underneath as well so its not see thru. I bought it to wear to work or casual wear (not a belly dancer).On the Colors... Black is a Faded Black and Blue is not at Dark as it looks in the picture.Washing....Not sure how its going to wash as there is no insructions, but I will be hand washing and hang dry as the stiching doesn't look very durable and could shred.

Was looking for a long flowing skirt for casual wear. I love the "gypsy" look, and decides to purchase this skirt based of of the look and reviews. I'm 5ft4, women size 11. It fits my waist nicely. I ordered white. An let me say that it is SUPER WHITE. I paired it with a fitted white tee, and the tee looked more creamy (if thy makes sense). The length is nice. It flows nicely--still a little transparent, and the lining underneath is a little short. Overall I've worn it, and like it. I'm considering dyeing it another color tho.

When I searched this item I searched "25 yard skirt" and this is what the results showed. I was shocked to see such a great price on it I thought "what is the catch?". I went for it any way. I realized what the catch was, it is not a 25 yard skirt. The diameter is barley even six. The skirt has a nice flow to it when left alone, however it does not have enough fabric to do any of the dance moves when you grab it, there are no ruffles and no ripples. And when I tried to tuck it, it just looked awkward. The skirt itself is nice, has a good color and is long and I will keep it as part of my wardrobe, however it does not work at all for what I got it for.
