Quality Control tested???
I live in Costa Rica and ordered this to be delivered on a trip to the US. It was received and all looked good but when I got back to Costa Rica and hooked it up it didn't work. After MUCH fiddling I figured out that the cable has a really bad connection to the base. If I connect the cable JUST RIGHT it works but if you so much as breath on the thing it disconnects from the computer. I don't know if the connector on the base is bad or if the cable is bad and I can't get the damn thing serviced in Costa Rica. If it was quality controlled before being shipped I wouldn't be holding an expensive paperweight - I'm pissed

Not for use outside China
This scanner is clearly marked by the manufacturer “Not to be used outside of China” so if you have issues with it like we did, you’re dead in the water. Only purchase it if you live in China.
