Quick overview: This singing bowl has an amazingly beautiful tone that is extremely long lasting. I’m an absolute novice but was able to make the bowl sing from the first try. The painting isn’t *perfect,* but I didn’t expect it to be; people are not machines — & even machines can mess up. The quality far exceeded my expectations for the price. Everything was packed well and arrived (quickly!) in perfect condition, even the thick cardboard storage box (& I’m pretty anal about smashed corners, bent/wrinkled papers, etc). It is smaller than I anticipated, and also much heavier, but actually turned out to be a great size for my tiny 8y/o sized hands. Absolutely LOVE this singing bowl. I originally thought it would just be my “starter bowl,” but ... unless this bowl breaks, I don’t even want another bowl.This is my first singing bowl. I researched like crazy, looked at every singing bowl on various sites, read all the reviews & watched every video. I knew I wanted a certain sound/tone, and of course a quality item at a reasonable price (bc I didn’t want to make a huge investment on my first piece, but didn’t want just a cheap piece of junk either). I also wanted a nice box/case that I could keep it in when not in use, a pillow and a striker with some type of cloth covering on one end (as opposed to an all wood striker). I knew I’d most likely have to compromise on some things; like color/design, a circle donut pillow instead of a square, a cardboard box instead of satin covered, etc.After 3 weeks of searching, I narrowed it down to 4 bowls/sets; each with their own extras (satin zippered case, tingshas, journal, etc). This bowl had most of the qualities I wanted: black & gold, nice design, good size, square pillow (& in a nice even!), nice reusable storage box, suede & wood striker, plus good reviews. Ultimately, I was just drawn to this bowl. The beautiful designs & the unusual pillow color (magenta & gold) definitely caught my eye; even though other sets had things I really liked/wanted, this bowl really called to me. So I went with my gut and ordered it before I could second guess my decision. Sooooooo glad I did!!!I knew I could end up with basically any tone, but that’s just the chance you take when you aren’t buying a super expensive bowl tuned to a specific note. I just hoped I wouldn’t end up with a bowl that had a high pitched bell type of sound. Amazingly, my bowl has exactly the beautiful, rich, deep tone I wanted. That’s probably the most impressive part. And even my husband, who knows nothing about singing bowls, commented on how nice & VERY long lasting the tone is. I’ve never even touched a singing bowl before, but I was able to make it sing from my first try. So I’d say this is a great bowl for beginners. Honestly I just cannot say enough about this bowl. The ONLY thing I would change is the storage box (from cardboard to hinged, satin covered & lined) — which has absolutely nothing to do with the actual bowl. And the cardboard box is nice enough to present as a gift; or for me to cover in fabric myself.

I bought this bowl to use in therapy for mindfulness exercises with the teenagers that I work with in detention. My bowl had some discoloration of some sort on parts of the gold at the top, but I am not concerned. I was able to make the bowl sing on my second attempt and have never used a singing bowl before. The mallet is easy to hold. I tried to use it with water to be able to see the vibrations of the bowl but was unsuccessful. I can't wear my rings when using the bowl, have to be careful to not touch the bowl as much with my palm (even when my hand is flat) or I will lose the sound, and I have not been able to use this bowl on the pillow or on a table-top surface because it will spin. Holding it is the only way that I can get it to sing. I love it though, I am amazed at how it works, I love the tone, but would personally like a lower tone so I might invest in a larger bowl for personal use.

Beautiful craftsmanship, it is my first purchase of a singing bowl and it is a gift, I made it sing the first time I tried it out and the packaging was great. Really well fit in the box, came in its own decorative box too and I was very impressed with how everything was wrapped and secured in. It's so great I plan to buy another for my father who could use another method of relaxation, the tone stays really long and I enjoy that it's not deathoning to the ears also. The pillow was well made and has an accent button on the bottom and it is perfect in the palm of your hand. My husband had a harder time making it sing but after a few trys and showing him where to place the mallet, he got it and loved it. There was a minor chip at the top of the bowl where you notice the gold coat was now silver but you had to really look at it for it to even come to being an issue, for me it is not. The bowl actually has a nice weight to it, you can tell it was made from a thicker material giving it the weight, and I can't help but keep using it myself.

Having never even seen a singing bowl in person before, I was very nervous about which one to purchase. Didn’t want to spend too much yet didn’t want to spend too little and get a bad product. I can say that I’m so glad I decided on this product. Fits in my hand well and makes a beautiful resonating sound. It does take several tries to get the hang of going around the bowl, but once you do you will love it. And of course you can always just bang on the side with the mallet provided and get a tone that way as well. Thank you for a great product that is both beautiful and meets my needs.

I genuinely love this singing bowl. It was my first one, and while there were a couple reviews on the product that originally made me a bit nervous, I ordered it anyway and I'm so glad i did. The craftsmanship is great, and it actually had quite a bit of heft to it, which i like. really the only slightly negative thing i would say is that the sound doesn't last for a super long time, but im sure its mainly bc i just need to keep practicing. Overall, i really love this product and look forward to usuing it more. Definitely recommend, hope this helps :)

It's A Wonderful Buy

I was over the moon when my package finally arrived. This chic is beyond ready to embrace tranquility. I hold the bowl in my hand gently tap it and the sound it produced was amazing. So amazing it alerted my Frenchie from her afternoon slumber where she proceeded to try leaping into my arms to join the fun. Needless to say my first order was lying there broken on the floor. So I pulled my big girl pants up, grabbed my phone and quickly ordered a second one. Well worth the wait time and double money spent.And yes, this one is still surviving the live downed electrical wire I called Gerty!

The media could not be loaded. This bowl is so lovely and i love how the sound carries. I used the end without fabric first and then realized you’re supposed to hit it with the fabric end and then move the mallet around the outside of the bowl. I think people who say it doesn’t work aren’t doing it right. Also the design and quality is perfect and seems well made.
