I bought this for my GR III because I wanted something to cover the lens and keep dust out, but didn't want to worry about adhesives, or damaging my camera trying to remove a glass cover. Luckily, I found this lens cap from JJC. It attaches easily, and operates exactly as pictured. I haven't had any problems with it yet, as far as not closing correctly, affecting picture quality, or anything. If I had a complaint, it would be that when open, the lens cap doesn't cover the lens from the top. But I got this for the extra dust protection, so it's not that big a deal to me. With all this said, if you're looking for a stylish lens cap for your GR III, I'd definitely suggest picking this one up.

The price is good, the quality is fine, fits nicely and gets the job done. Just be prepared. If you forget to take it off before turning on the camera, the cap will pop off and get away from you!

This lens cap/cover is a must-have for the Ricoh camera. It protects the lens from dust and damage when in your bag or jacket pocket.

Perfect cap for the GR.

Gets the job done, protects from dust. Has begun to leave a mark on my camera body though (light black marking around the lens i got the diary edition so its noticeable)

The camera I bought in eBay for this item was defective, so I had to return this item,,,,,

Nice metal cap itself but poorly glued soft material from the inside. After a week of use the soft material started to deform and I had to glue it back and be very careful with how put this cup on. In addition to this the excess glue leaves marks on the camera. The marks are easy to clean. But I don’t like the glue on my camera, looks and feels bad.

Good build quality! Comparing this GR4 lens cap to my GR3 version I can see that it is slightly smaller (doesn't fit my GR3) which is expected as the new GR4 len is smaller.

I am guessing they redesigned this product and did not alter the description, as there is no soft EVA interior as pictured, just hard metal. Still, a useful product which definitely enhances the look of the camera by covering the built in lens cap.

Fit my camera lens nice and snug

This looks great overall and although the GR IV already has a self-closing lens, this is an extra layer of protection to keep the finish from getting scratched, keeps dust out of the mechanism, and helps preserve this investment. However, a few things to note. If you put this over your lens and accidentally hit the "on" button before taking it off, this may result in motor strain and/or damage to the camera. I haven't tested this as I don't want to wreck this camera, but it seems like the lens cap clicks onto the frame very snug, and could prevent the automatic lens from opening.
