Nice replacement / upgrade
Fitted straight into my old precision copy and is a very nice upgrade to the old slightly scabby bridge. Didn’t break the bank, improves the look feel and adjustment ,

What a massive difference this bridge made to my bass guitar, great quality hardware

Great quality bass bridge - at quite a modest price.
A really good direct replacement for a standard jazz-bass bridge. I've used this on a few different basses and it's an excellent replacement, considerably better in my opinion than the standard jazz bass bridge. It's also considerable cheaper than other 'heavy' hi-mass bridges. Direct replacement and very well-made.

Massive difference between the high mass bridge and the standard bridge. Worth every penny would recommend it 100%

Solid and functional, but a bit crude for Fender
I bought this for a 1998 Fender Jazz Bass Deluxe, which I had already swapped the standard bridge out for a Gotoh high mass bridge several years ago. I didn't find the Gotoh making a blind bit of difference to the tone or sustain of the Jazz bass, and I think it's the same with this new Fender bridge. However, I never expected it would and I bought it for a cosmetic change and something fun to tinker with. So, compared to the last two bridges? The Fender HiMass is a huge bit of metal; whilst the screw holes line up perfectly and the strings travel along the same path as before, the saddles and the string anchor points are a little further back to the string length is increased slightly. The bridge itself is a big unit, even with a few hollowed out points inside it is heavier than the Gotoh, and certainly the standard Fender bent bit of metal. It does what it says, but for a new unit there are a couple of points which I thought were a little short sighted. First off, to adjust the intonation requires a screwdriver, which I prefer to allan keys, but rather than having the screw head on the back of the bridge, it's tucked away down a thin tunnel so requires delving around to find a thin screw driver rather than allowing a multi tool or something similar. The saddles themselves are very wide - whilst the string tension will hopefully keep everything in place, the Gotoh seated the strings far better. For those who like through body stringing, this isn't a feature - it is top loading only, so if your bass has been drilled through and has ferrules fitted, this bridge will cover them up. Finally, the whole unit looks a bit cruder and more angular than in the photo once installed - probably just me, but it looks like it would be more at home on a Gibson Explorer bass rather than a Jazz or Precision. Those little criticisms aside, most of which are very subjective, its a solid piece of kit and so far does the job very well.

An inexpensive upgrade to transform your bass.
Noticeable improvement on the bridges of my Fender Mex P-bass, Squier P-bass and Revelation Jazz bass. Vast improvement in the 'unplugged' department.

Excellent bridge. The quality is good and it is heavy as one would expect from a "Hi-Mass" bridge. I am not entirely sure that changing a bridge is a game changer for a bass but feel relatively certain that it improved the tone and sustain of my bass. This was the final modification after installing an Audere Preamp and Bartolini pickups. The bridge fit on my Squier '70's vibe Precision Bass perfectly. The holes matched up exactly and it was very easy to install with no modification needed to the bass or the bridge. Be sure to remember that it is necessary to set your intonation after installing a new bridge. I held this against my old bridge and adjusted the string lengths so that the intonation would be close as soon as it was installed. The price was right and the quality is good. I am pleased.

If you have a P bass, get this bridge. Fits perfect and is much higher quality than the stock bridge. No issues with it being too high, no need to shim the neck. Actually had to raise the saddles a bit and intonate it of course. Easy peasy. Dont bother with cheap bridges, tried a few and they suck.
