Fantastic Towel Heater. Very stylish. I Love it.
Well this is a towel radiator with WOW factor. Very modern and stylish. We have a gas central heating system, with a water tank in the loft, and this rad is perfect. This is the first time we’ve bought an anthracite finish one, which is a dark grey matt, with a very slightly rough finish…and wow it looks stunning. Not only does it look great in our black and white bathroom but it’s way more forgiving with the dust and and general day-to-dry dirt and water splash marks etc then a chrome radiator……and boy does it kick out the heat. I bought this for £78.99 on here to replace a chrome straight ladder radiator which randomly sprung a small pinhead leak one day. Don’t get me wrong, I liked the chrome straight (thin tube style) ones too, but they are a pain to keep clean. I LOVE this flat panel dark grey style way better. It feels far more efficient than our old straight hung style one as well, as the flat panels are much larger, so there is a larger surface area giving off the heat. This is also helped of course by the colour of it being black as it radiates the heat much better and more efficiently (which is science), which is a bonus with the huge eye-watering energy hikes we’ve all been hit with recently. The other thing I like about the anthracite finish, having now had it installed a week or two, is the slightly rough finish it has to our old chrome one as the towels grip to it much better. It arrived very quickly, with 2 days, packaged well in a box wrapped in a large big strong thick plastic bag with polystyrene on all the corners and plastic cap protectors on all the four vertical end connection points. The only niggle I had was that one of the black protector caps on mine had broken in transit, and when installing our plumber noticed that this had created a scratch across the top of one of the vertical rods (right where the valve is on the top where you add the shinny chrome top connectors). Really annoying, but I really couldn’t be bothered with the hassle of sending this heavy thing back and sending the plumber away and returning it to be replaced as it would cost us way more, and two call out charges. Yes it was irritating as you want things to be perfect when they arrive, and went against every grain of my being for not returning a faulty item, but the hassle and cost outweighed the annoying and noticeable scratch. The plumber suggested installing it upside down, so the scratch would then not be visible and would connect to the pipe coming up from the floor instead. To be honest I don’t think it really matters which way round the radiator goes. The fittings allow it to be fitted both ways. It’s just the picture in the listing shows it in the flat rail pattern from the top as 2 panels, then 2 panels then 3 panels then 3 panels….so you then assume that’s the right way up. In fact weirdly, I prefer it with the 2 lots of 3 panels at the top, as they are a wider area, dish out more heat than the two panels and so cover the surface area of the towels better (as I hang them over the top rung), so they dry quicker and more of the towel stays warm…..so I’m happy. Hope that makes sense. This towel rad doesn’t come with pipe fitting to the floor pipes. Our chrome ones from the old rad where still fine, so to keep the replacement cheaper we just used our existing chrome fittings, thermostat and pipes. It looked great and was an easy fit.Really lovely, striking, modern and classy looking radiator and a fab price for £78.99 delivered!! I can’t wait for the rad in the downstairs loo to break now too, so I can get a anthracite flat towel radiator styled one in there too…….shhhh don’t tell my husband 😂. Hope the photos are useful. I’ve shown a before and after photo with our old radiator.

Delighted with this heated towel rail
Very happy with this heated towel rail. I've seen another review saying that the colour isn't anthracite grey, and that it's just grey. I haven't a clue what the difference is. It's certainly grey and that's what I expected so all is well here. *Edit* Have since investigated further and it is indeed not anthracite grey. It's more African Grey Parrot grey (The darker bits on the wings, specifically). I like parrots and it looks good in my bathroom so still happy. It was straighforward to install (depending on your accuracy with a drill). I'm impressed with the heat output. My towels are toasty warm. Arrived in great condition and I found the seller to be very helpful with a minor quibble which they resolved instantly.Only had it installed for 2 days thus far so can't comment on longevity. It feels solid and well made so I've no concerns. Would recommend.

Great value
I'll be honest, the mounting brackets for this kit and the overall feel of this product had me doubting it when I pulled it out the package. I sound like a bit of an A-hole for saying it, but it just felt cheap. Now it's on the wall and part of the bathroom, I love it. It looks good and it does the job it's supposed to. Good value for money.I'm sorry I ever doubted you, towel rail!

Fab
This was to replace my old rusty white towel rail. Very good value for money, heat output is very good and it looks much nicer than a white one.
