Automotive Technology: Principles, Diagnosis, and Service

I just started taking my first automotive class this semester. And this book is a must, i just got it in the mail. It only took 3 days. I took a quick skim at it and already i know this book will be very useful. It seems to have eveything from how to handle oil to using a torch. Buy it if youre taking automotive classes or fix cars yourself, its chocked full of knowledge!

School, very comprehensive auto tech book a to z. THIS IS THE BOOK YOU WANT, IF YOU WANT TO LEARN REAL WORLD AUTOMOTIVE REBUILDS, NOT HIGH PERFORMANCE, OFFROAD, OR RACING, BUT DOES A LITTLE OVERVIEW ON THOSE AS WELL. BUT FOR REPAIRING MOST, THIS IS THE BEST BOOK.

This book covers so much and is easy to follow. I feel like I could read it cover to cover and be prepared for any automotive course regardless of the required book or that course. it's a big book, but that is also what I love about the Kindle edition. That, and the act that I can screen capture any page I need in hand for reference.

I use this book for my automotive classes and what a good investment this is. I'm going to need this book for years to come. It has everything you need to know about cars. (mainly GM cars)

This book is a very complete book that covers a lot of material, but really only superficially covers how things work and is written to teach someone to become an auto tech. This book is designed to be used in a trade school curriculum along with lab classes. This is not an engineering manual though. If you want a deeper understanding of how things work like designing or modifying automotive components, this manual will leave you seeking more information. I am using this book as part of a community college class on Auto Tech. I will keep this book as a reference, but if you want to specialize in a narrower field in greater depth, you will have to seek more material. This is a good book for beginners. Those wanting advanced knowledge, you will need to add to your library.

I went from not being able to change oil...to now being an ASE Certified Master Technician 2 and half years later...all with this book...I LOVE this thing....I've made SO MUCH money from the skills I learned from this Auto-bible! Lol BUY IT!!!!! BUY IT NOW!!! BUY IT NOW FROM AMAZON!!!

Came sooner than expected and had that new book smell I love. Pictures look great and easy to understand. Hope it helps with transmission work. Over all very satisfied

Besides the fact that the corner pages were folded, it was still intact with no missing/torn/dirty pages. Thanks to this book I managed to pass my Electrical Class with a C.

Best book

Ordered for use at school for automotive red seal training, lots of good info and well written book but quite a few pages had very faint writing, (like a printer using dryed out ink) and were very hard to make out what some of the sentences were saying. Two other classmates that ordered the book at the same time had the exact same issue.
