This book is written by someone who convincingly knows the current landscape of art. He has also produced a work that is completely approachable for people who aren't familiar with it. I refer to this book a lot in understanding how art interacts with current events, recent history, and my own interaction with the virtual world. This is my fourth or fifth copy, because I keep giving it away. Also, surprisingly tactile book that fits in your travel bag. I strongly recommend.
