Work great, plug-in replacements for 4-foot fluorescent lights.
When my kitchen ceiling lights started fading and flickering, I decided to give these LED replacements a shot. They plug right in, and light right up, with no need to putz around with the wiring or the ballast. This particular item is extremely bright: two of them light up the kitchen like a gas station mini-mart. They might be better-suited to a shop or a garage, and I sort of wish I'd gone for a warmer, lower-wattage model.Couple of hints and tips:1. They only light up when you have both lamps installed, so don't panic when the first one doesn't seem to be working.2. There's a strip of LEDs along the top inside surface of the tube, facing down, and you want to make sure it's on the top when the lamps are installed. (See the pic.)3. For some reason, the tubes are made of glass, which seems like a weird choice for an LED lamp. Thin glass. VERY thin glass. The factory box is laughably flimsy, and Amazon's packaging consisted of dropping that box into a larger box with zero cushioning. First box arrived sounding like a rain stick, with contents as shown in the photo, but Amazon got them to me intact on the second try.

They can arrive broken!
Out of 2 orders (2 bulbs per package) I got 1 working bulb. Amazon packaged them nicely but I think they were broken before Amazon packaged them. The company promptly replaced the 1st order, but I gave up after the 2nd arrived broken. The 1 bulb that survived was nice and bright. More white light, which I preferred.

Quality tubes
I got tired of the fluorescent tubes. I had eight of them in the basement. They never all worked at the same time. They go dim, they flicker, and they stop working after few month. I had to keep replacing the tubes, and I even tried to replace the ballast. The Philips MainsFit LED tube are great. The installation was easy once you understand how the existing fixture is connected. These tubes are bright, save energy and long lasting. These tubes must be popular as they are always out of stock on Amazon. The 3 foot LED tubes are hard to find.

Don’t bother
In total, I went through 10 of these and only 2 ended up working and also arrived intact. Far easier to just replace the fixture than monkeying with these. Out of the 10, 3 arrived broken, 2 worked and stayed working and the other 5 had various, inconsistent and intermediate issues including smoking, sizzling, flickering, humming, and just plain not working. I had two of the old style working fluorescent tubes that hadn’t burned out yet, so I was able to test all my fixtures and all the fixtures are fine. For whatever reason, only 2 of these replacements worked. My fixtures are mostly over 10 years old so could be an issue there, but my advice for anyone else that had a whole garage rigged with old style fluorescent and needs to do full replacements to just buy all new stuff.Rating it 3 stars instead of one because the two that did work have been working just fine for a month.

Bright and still going strong years later
Very bright. Check what *color* lights you want before purchasing. Seemingly a great product, still working till this day over three years later. They use half the electricity. They still do make a humming sound like the fluorescent bulbs did, but that is most likely the ballast.

Perfect solution for a fluorescent retrofit.
The LED lamps work perfectly, however if you're not familiar with wiring diagrams I would not recommend them. The installation guide is pretty sparse and hard to read. Having said that, I'd give these a four out of five and would not recommend for the average DIY layman.

Very fragile
I ordered these bulbs to replace existing fluorescent bulbs that were dying. The first package came in with a broken bulb. I understand that things happen, so I returned them for replacement. When the replacement order came in again, there was a broken bulb. I do not recommend these due to the packaging but the bulbs are put in. The packaging needs to be heavy duty, they will not survive shipping without that. The external packaging was fine. But the internal packaging was what destroyed the bulbs.
