VIVOSUN 5-Pack 1 Gallon Grow Bags, Fabric Pots with Self-Adhesion Sides for Transplanting

I love these things! Transplanting was insanely easy with these 1 gallon fabric pots. I simply waited until a watering day so the soil was dry and they performed flawlessly. The method I used was to open the Velcro all the way down, fold the top of the pot over all the way around, and then carefully peel the sides down while supporting the pot from the bottom. Once you get close to peeling the sides of the pot all the way down to the bottom, grab the stem of the plant and carefully lift it out. The soil (50% peat moss, 50% vermiculite) stayed fully intact for each transplant (I did 4) and no roots were damaged. All 4 plants are healthy and thriving in their new 5 gallon fabric pots.

OMG I honestly love these bags. Unpacking this 5 pack 1-gallon fabric grow bags immediately you feel the thickness and the quality and attention to detail. On the inside of the bag conveniently has a labeled tag so you won’t forget what size bags your using. Vivosun also includes some labels so you can label your plants. If you are using these for plants that need to be transplanted the self-adhesion sides are AMAZING! There is a self-adhesion strip that runs on one side of the bag you can undo so it gives you more room to pull the plant outcome transplanting time. These should hold up for a few grow seasons. I will update at 6 months.

Easy to use, order came super fast. Only thing is they tent to sit at a slight awkward angle. Plants dont care but I slightly do. Other than that solid product.

Grow bags are made of very heavy duty "weed block" like material which allows water and air permeability significantly reducing risk of overwatering, scum gnats, root rot, etc. It has also been shown to increase root and plant growth, among other benefits. I got these 1 gal (but also ordered 2 gal) planning on using them for starting my tomatoes in the spring. The Velcro design, hopefully, will allow for transplanting with less disruption/shock to the the root system when I move them to 5 gal final bags. However, my wife's basil was dying. I transplanted them into the 1 gal containers and placed them under our LED grow light. They are recovering nicely. I'll need to order either more of the 1 or 2 gal pots since I'm now short on pots.

I bought these cloth pots to transfer my tomato and pepper seedlings into once they are big enough. I'm new to indoor gardening, but everything I've read says that you want to choose a pot with good drainage... especially for tomatoes. These look like they will do the trick. I was concerned when purchasing that the velcro wouldn't be strong enough to keep the soil in place without causing a mess. It doesn't look like this will be the case. In addition to velcro up the side, there is also a little flap of velcro that goes over the top of the pot helping to secure the flaps together. The sides of the pot seem to be made our of a quality material which will allow for good drainage and the pot to be used multiple times. I plan to transplant my tomato and pepper plants to an outside garden in the spring and when I do so, I'll report back whether or not the velcro makes transplanting easy. **If you found this review helpful, please consider clicking the "HELPFUL" button below Thanks!**

Very convenient for transplanting. You can't go wrong and damage the root system. You can check your root system before removing your plant for transplant and plan accordingly. The fabric is good quality. Highly recommend these.

I like fabric pots for growing outside. Rain can’t overwater fabric pots. They need more water if you are using them inside. These are great for transplanting since you can get the plants out so easily.
