Terry Ludwig Pastels - True Lights Set of 30

I want to be fair and accurate in this review because I love Terry Ludwig pastels, but be aware--these are really, really light, so light that it is difficult to actually see the tint. Especially when placed against a darker color, most are difficult to distinguish from white. The website photos, not only on Amazon but on other websites, in my opinion, show them to be more strongly tinted than they actually are. So if you are trying to stretch your art dollars to buy only essential colors, you probably won't need (I said need, not want!) so many lights. That said, Terry Ludwig pastels are simply great to work with and are my favorite pastel in the very soft category.

I have several sets of Ludwig pastels, but these "true lights" fill a niche. I love to do winter snow scenes and these colors will be perfect for such work. Subtle differences in the colors and offering a good range of cools and warms.
