My little teacup yorkie had a sudden start of itchy skin.I knew he did not have any fleas or bugs...I tried everything.He was unhappy and constant itching his back.I bought other oatmeal dog shampoos, no help. Bought several ointments, no help.He is very very sensitive to any kind of prescriptions, so medication was out of the question.I felt horrible since I could not help as he had hoped.I bought this shampoo, as I use Burts Bees products on myself, figured I could give it a try.It came fast delivery. I liked that it did not have much smell at all.I immediately gave him a bath with it. He stopped itching that night.I wanted to wait to see if it came back....Well, it has been 3 days and he stopped, not an itch at all.I am so pleased.If you have a doubt, a poor itchy pet, just give it a try. Worked for my little pal.

I used this product for the first time this past winter as my dog normally gets dry skin, which causes him to scratch, during the cold months. Although it didn’t completely eliminate his symptoms, it did seem to improve them mildly.

I currently use this brand for both my dogs and their coat is pretty and the dandruff is gone on the one with a problem. I am delighted to try this one with itch relief and aloe vera on the one who has allergies. If it works as well as the calming formula for the itching, we will both be happy. I have no doubts regarding the brand. It was received very timely and the price was great.

We just added a dog to the family and immediately noticed that she was scratching and nibbling. So bad that it kept us up at night. When I found this on Amazon I decided to give it a try and I’m so glad I did. We put her in the tub and bathed her with this shampoo. As others have mentioned, we didn’t get a lot of suds, but we worked it into her very short hair. The difference in her behavior was like night and day. She was able to sleep peacefully and most of the scratching and nibbling stopped. There had been small scabs on her skin and the hair was gone in patches. The last time I checked the scabs were gone and the skin was smooth. I’m sure we will see the hair growing back soon. I have tried many other anti-itch shampoos in the past without good results but this is the real deal.Now for the spray. For some reason when I tried to review that it brought me back to the shampoo. The spray works great for instant relief, but only when I can catch the dog. She is terrified of the spray and won’t let me near her when she sees it in my hand. To remedy that, if I see her nibbling I soak a soft cloth with the spray and wipe her down. She lets me do that and the nibbling stops. I think both of them together will at leasts slow down the itch and make her more comfortable.

We adopted a new dog from the local rescue. She had terrible matting and dirt when found. Her skin is still recovering. This is the shampoo they recommended to calm the itching and help her have healthy skin again. It really seems to help. She itches less after just one bath. This will be our go to shampoo for now on. I also used it recently on our foster dog. He also enjoyed the soothing formula and smells better.A good product.

Pretty good shampoo but my dog prefers Irish spring bar soap.
