Round Leather Cord, 1mm Brown, 25 Meter Spool (~28 Yards) for Beading, Jewelry, Crafts

Our scouting organization (Federation of North-American Explorers) requires boys to make their own neckerchief woggle as part of their advancement. Found this nice thick cord for wrapping a solid looking "Turks Head" knot. Easy for the boys to handle and wind. When done, we used some mod podge on the inside to keep the knot tight, and a little more on the outside to give it a shine. Could not be happier with this product!

I normally buy leather for weaving necklace cords at JoAnn Fabrics. This is much more consistent in thickness than the stuff from that store, has no weak points, and I can use a base piece longer than three yards if I need to, now, as I was previously limited with the small pieces sold in retail craft stores. With a continuous spool of 28 yards the possibilities are endless! Extremely satisfied with the consistent thickness of the leather and lack of weak spots. Having a LITTLE trouble believing this is 28 yards, because I've only removed 8 yards from it and it looks like it is half gone... time will tell if I update this review, since I measure everything as I remove it...

I make corded woven bracelets, both from hemp cord and paracord. From purchasing assorted Fastex buckles I had a need for a small, in-between, cord size that would work with these 3/8" odd-sized buckles and I found this cord inexpensive and reportedly durable. I am very pleased with not only the consistancy of the cord but the nice glossy deep-black finish and the workability of the cord in knotting. This is a very good quality product being used for just a little more than it's intended purpose (it's not necessarily made for knotting) and performing very well. As a simple jewelery necklace or bracelet cord I think the quality and durability would really do well, and certainly as I've been using it it is just great. I'll be buying more of this!

Bought the Light Natural color cord and love it!I agree with other reviewers that this is not super strong, but it's a 2mm natural material and it isn't meant to be strong.It's delicate and soft and perfect for craft/jewelry purposes.I'll definitely be ordering more when I run out.

Great quality of leather. I use this leather to make bracelets . The thickness is perfect and the color is just right. I will order this product again!

Nice better than average leather cord....just what I needed. Around my neck as I type this. Makes a nice necklace. Seems very strong. Will see how it holds up.8/18/17 update: still impressed by this cord...better than the last cord I bought.

This cord is consistent in strength so lends itself well to braiding and other techniques. I made a fab choker necklace and loved how it looked and laid, but after several wears I broke out in a horrendous rash. I've only had allergic skin reactions twice, including this incident. I believe that there was a coating that wore off and exposed an irritant underneath. I don't know the manufacturing process for this particular cord, but it's something to be aware of.I don't have sensitive skin or a tendency toward allergies. I did probably wear this piece too much, and I definitely sweated while wearing it. My bad. But still, I've worked with and worn plenty of leather cordage and never had this happen.

EXACTLY what I needed. I have artsy beads with tiny holes in them and could only ever find 1.5mm cords in leather, so I was using fiber cords to build necklaces for my students. The fiber cords were breaking because my students wear their necklaces ALL THE TIME and wear those cords out. This leather is thin enough AND it shouldn't wear out nearly as fast. I love it so far!
