I think they're perfect
I usually can't wear traditional Bermuda shorts: Either the leg opening is too tapered which accentuates my knobby knees, or they're too wide and look like grandma shorts. So happy I took a chance on these despite the narrow look of the leg in the photo! They are slim without being 'form-fitting'. There is enough fabric for a nice clean front pleat. The fit in the rear is flattering: not too tight/not too baggy. The fabric is light and breathable but, I could easily wear these at my workplace because they look similar to a sleek crepe fabric. I love them. I want Columbia to make these in other colors besides gray, black and olive so I can wear them all summer!!

Not for curvy body types
This is cut for non-curvy body types. I really really wanted it to fit, because I need a lightweight quick-drying pair of shorts for hikes and travel to the tropics. The overall cut is decently flattering, definitely on the snug side. Low rise but not uncomfortably or immodestly so. (I have a short torso.) Leg length is 12" and comfy due to the stretchy material. The problem is that even though the material has the bit of stretch in it, my extra width in the hips and junk in the trunk makes the side pockets stretch visibly while leaving several inches of extra material at the back of my waist. I have other pants/shorts that aren't necessarily curvy cut - and several men's pairs - and those don't gap as badly as these did, or at least lent themselves to wearing low, closer to the hips, which these don't since they're already riding low. (They'd probably slip right off if I wore them low.) The hunt continues for me.

too big
i'm about 5'2 and 122 lbs and usually wear size 8 pants. i have another pair of columbia shorts that fit just fine, but these were too big and fell low on my hips, dragging my whole lower body down and making me look even shorter. returning them and sticking to shorter shorts or another tighter version of these long shorts. they felt more like a size 10 so they could have been mislabeled.

Size 10????
Quality of shorts is good BUT they are way too big!!! Never had a problem previously with Columbia! Go at least one size smaller

... Curvy Fit type and these shorts still fit very nicely with the little stretch in the fabric
I consider myself a Curvy Fit type and these shorts still fit very nicely with the little stretch in the fabric. I would buy another pair for summer.

Highly recommend, runs a little small
I purchased these shorts before I went on several summer trips and I am in love with them! They are a little small (normally I'm a small and I ordered medium) but they also are form fitting for the most part, with so much flexibility. Took them hiking and even swimming- quick dry and very cooling as the technology says. I am ready to buy another pair for sure!

Great traveling shorts
These are great shorts especially for traveling. They don't wrinkle and they wash and dry quickly. Wish I could find in another color.

Nice equality, bad fit.
These fit fine. Although I have several pairs of mid-rise jeans and shorts, these had a very odd and unflattering fit. I had to send them back.
