Hayward C500 StarClear Cartridge Pool Filter, 50 Square Foot

Works as it’s supposed to be of course Hayward durability is awesome. It was an easy fit. Ease of cleaning wow well pop the top off rinse the filter out and put it back together. Best value for the dollar as for speed. I have a good pump and this filter works perfectly thank you.

I ordered this cartridge filter to replace one just like it that I’d ordered almost to the day, 4 years ago.I guess that’s a decent life span for this type of filter. The reason I’m having to replace it is because it developed a hairline crack on the manufacturer seam where the drain knob is located. Other than that this make and model has been good. Also, the reason for only 4 stars is because when my new filter arrived it had no cartridge filter in it and it says that it’s supposed to be included. I called Dohennys directly and they contacted the manufacturer to have the filter sent out right away and to report it was missing in the shipment.
