Taste of Home Vegetarian Made Easy: 335 Delicious Meatless Recipes with Tips for Every Table Review: Very happy this book exists! - I am so happy this cookbook exists (and in Kindle form)! I have gone through to bookmark numerous recipes in it that look tasty and that I can't wait to try. I also generally have had good experiences with Taste of Home recipe results, so I figured I'd give this cookbook a try. I eat meat, but I would like to cook more vegetarian meals for health reasons and because touching raw meat to cook is often icky to me. I appreciate that the recipes in this book are not fancy foods and weird combinations of foods you've never heard of, but they are instead vegetarian meals you actually want to cook and eat on a regular basis. The first recipe I tried was the pressure-cooker chickpea and potato curry. It was outstanding! To me, that recipe is worth the price of the book. It will go in my recipe rotation. Yes. I know you can find their recipes online. But their vegetarian recipes are scattered. It is great to have them all collected and stored in one place on my Kindle version of this book. UPDATE: I've now owned this book for about two more months. I have bought several vegetarian cookbooks recently, and this is the one I use most. I cook something out of it at least once a week because I get good results and the recipes are not too time-consuming. I have tried the Southwest Tortilla Pie (which I turned into quesadillas), the Zippy Egg Salad, the Tuscan Portobello Stew, the Zucchini Tomato Frittata, and more. I haven't had a disappointing meal from it yet. My favorite so far is the Black Bean Sweet Potato Rice Bowls. My boyfriend is a "Where's the beef?" kind of person, and even he has raved about some of the recipes, especially the pesto gnocchi. I'm looking forward to trying more! UPDATE: I've now owned this book for almost 11 months. In that time, I have come across a few misses among the recipes. However, there are still many more that work well. It still is probably my most accessible of vegetarian cookbooks with recipes that are easy to put together. I'm still glad I bought it. Review: Going vegan was much easier than I thought it would be - Some people arevegetarian and/or vegan by choice, and some are following Doctors' orders. I'm in the latter group, and the recipes in this book have done a great deal to ameliorate the limitations imposed on those of us who are vegan/vegetaruab purely because of Doctors' instructions. Some things I've noticed since going vegan 12 months ago: Vegan cooking is vastly easier to prepare and cook meat based meals. Vegan cooking is a noticeably less expensive than meat-based cooking Vegan food feels far less pressing on the "tummy," especially if a person overeats a bit now and then. There's absolutely no doubt that every one of my acquaintances, including myself, who have turned vegan out of choice or because of doctors' order have told me they now prefer eating vegan meals than eating meat best meals. I include myself in that statistic. The recipes in this book are easy to follow and there is good variety of types of meals suggested.

Going vegan was much easier than I thought it would be

The best vegetarian cookbook I have found!! A must have!
I bought this recipe book a few weeks ago after scouring Amazon for healthy vegetarian cookbooks. I have bought a few in the past but none compare to this. Firstly I’m not a great cook but trying to improve and have a vegetarian husband and I am flexitarian and currently also wanting to overall eating habits for weightless and maintaining. So was looking for a good variety of protein rich and easy to cook meals. We have made several of the recipes and here is what is great about the book: 1. Just the sheer variety of dishes is great 2. Easy to find ingredients ( nothing overly complex or difficult /expensive to buy) 3. The recipes are so flavourful and delicious.the simplicity in some of the dishes that are soo good 4. Fairly easy to make- I am not a good cook at all but so easy and simple to follow the e instructions also good if you are limited on time 5. Every dish we have made so far has been a winner which we will incorporate long term. Including lentil tacos, meatless chili mac, gnocchi with white beans, black bean and rice enchiladas, tofu pad thai. 6. Some really simple and creative ways to use staple and protein rich ingredients like lentils, beans, tofu in new ways. 7. The nutrition information and calories per serving which is great if you are trying to lose weight/ eat healthier and for calorie counter apps. 8. There are some options to meat if you are cooking for people who are not vegetarian I look forward to cooking thanks to this cookbook it is excellent!! and have cut back on eating out as a result. We have used the vegetarian hello fresh and purple carrot subscriptions in the past but this is a great alternative. Highly recommend for vegetarians and non vegetarians who want to explore meatless options.

Pictures on every page!
I bought my sister a bunch of vegetarian cook books for her birthday and this is the best one. There are pictures on every single page. I haven’t given it to her yet so I don’t know how the recipes are but there are a ton of recipes that look really good!
