Lincoln Lubrication 1242 12 Volt DC Cordless Rechargeable Grease Gun with Case and Charger

I ordered the Lincoln model 1242 12 volt DC cordless grease gun for my construction equipment servicing. The grease gun performs better than I could have imagined. I actually don't mind greasing my equipment regularly. The battery life is more than enought to service 6 or 7 pieces of equipment on a single charge.Very well built and egonomically correct. The only criticism I have was that I ordered the kit that holds two extra grease cartridges. When I received the kit there was no place for the spare cartidges. I called the Vendor, Buzzard Gulch, Inc. to complain. They were very nice and informed me it was no longer available and they had tried to get Amazon to replace the online photo with no luck. They offered to refund my money and take it back but could not get the kit as shown on Amazon. I did some research and found out that the spare cartridge kit IS NOT available so kept the one I recieved.

I use it for my o-turn mower, 4x4 truck, all cars, and what a labor saver. It takes around 50 hand pumps to fill each of the 3 blade spindles using the manual grease gun. Doing it by hand was a nightmare. Now that I have this electric grease gun it's a fast enjoyable job. Very powerful and battery lasts along time between charges, and it charges fast also. Very well built with super high quality. The carrying case is great. I bought the 12 volt one in case of an emergency battery failure I could hook any 12 volt power source to it. Changing the grease tube is a snap. Filling it by hand is messy but easy and cheaper than the tubes. Buy this grease gun, you will love it.

I'm an O/O truck driver/business. My equipment requires regular maintenance. This tool takes the work out of the job! So far its held a good charge, it has good pressure, a long hose that connects solidly. It re loads grease with out any air locks. Quick shipping, item was as I expected, perfect. I bought it here on Amazon and easily saved $100 on new retail prices in my area.

First thing I liked was the price, this being $70 cheaper on Amazon.com than it was at local stores, if you can find a local store that carries it. I found it for about $199 at Tractor Supply Co., same exact thing. I read the reviews first so wasn't upset that the carrying case did not include storage space for tubes of grease, but it would've been nice if you did get what was pictured, especially for the price. Even though it's 12V, it has more than enough power to squeeze out the grease, even if you had the gun sitting in a cold garage mid-winter. I found that filling my truck's joints with green grease was exceedingly easier than the last time I had done so with a hand trigger style gun. When you pick this up and have it in your hand, you know it means business. It doesn't feel "plastic-ey", like it's going to break at any moment. With it resting on my chest, I had ample hose available to reach whatever I needed to reach under my 4x4 truck, which I was thankful for ,given its weight. No problems whatsoever priming it. They gave all sorts of instructions as to how to prime it if necessary, but I just put the tube in, pushed in the handle in the bottom, and pulled the trigger and a few seconds later grease was kicking out and has kicked out every trigger pull since then. You can hear the pump cycling through, so there is an audible noise every time it kicks in some grease. This is good since it will enable you to gauge how much grease is going in if you can't see the fitting and are just adding some by feel. Each pump noise equals one full squeeze of a standard grease gun, in my estimation. Each pump is less than a second, so it doesn't take very long either. Bottom line is, this is an impressive tool. It does what it's supposed to, and it does it well.

This is my second cordless ,the first one i bought was a no name & was a pile of junk.But the Lincoln is another story,its a piece of great work,easy to use ,easy to bleed out the air,and more pump pressure than you will ever need.I would buy another one just like this one ,stay away from those no name ,(buy Lincoln)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Great product, well built. Works great for our farm allows us to grease equipment daily in less time, goes a long time on a charge.

I have a business and have a few pieces of heavy equipment which have a number of grease fittings. It was taking me over an hour to grease them. It's not so bad in the Spring and Summer but the winter months it is a real chore. I did a lot of research and Lincoln kept coming up. I've owned a number of their conventional grease guns but was a little tentative simply because of the motor. I've been really pleased with the strength of the motor. The overall quality of the gun is great. I did buy an additional, heavier duty battery to use as the primary and use the one that came with it as my back up. Their may be more expensive grease guns out there but this one is serving me well (and I grease my machines every 8 to 10 hours of use.) Would highly recommend. If it came with a back up battery, I'd have given it 5 stars. Oh, and concerning time savings, I can grease everything in 1/4 of the time!
