Americans have had a long-standing love affair with ranch-flavored foods for ages, but many of us would struggle to explain what ranch flavor is to friends abroad. That’s why I keep Hidden Valley Ranch Seasoning in my toolkit, especially since I like to think of myself as a sassy saucier. In powder form, it’s easy to work ranch flavor into almost any recipe without altering the consistency like liquid dressing would. Just shake on a little whenever you crave a creamy, tangy base with herby freshness, a punch of garlic and onion, peppery warmth, and a salty, MSG-adjacent savoriness (I think I just nailed the definition of ranch flavor!).

I live in western Europe and bought some of that stuff on vacation in Florida 2012. Me and my wife got hooked up immediatly. Bought lots of it to bring back home. 2014 our stack was used up, so we visited New York to buy more... And to meet some friends in Maine by occasion :-) stack lasted till 2017. This time we just ordered on Amazon since you really can't buy it in Europe. Spent our vacation in Argentina this year and could not find it there neither. I know it seems a bit crazy because shipping cost was higher than the product itself but we really love that dressing. Mix it with some cream cheese, add pepper and fresh herbs... best sauce for raw vegetables period. We get asked a lot for the recipe.

Easy to mix together, tastes fine. Buttermilk variety is preferred but this is a good standard ranch mix. Great seasoning for chicken recipes.

Make your own dressing using Kewpie mayo and milk. And you've created way better than bottled ranch. And add less milk for a thicker dressing. The recipe will make it a bit on the thinner side.
