Skechers Men's Citywalk Malton Oxford Sneaker

Great shoes. I have three pair, two black and one brown. They're Swiss Army Knife shoes: athletic shoes for many events, comfortable for walking, tough enough for casual trail hiking, able to survive total water immersion just fine, and good looking enough for day-to-day wear. I toe out when I walk, so I eventually wear the outer corner of the heel down. That takes me about a year. They're still quite wearble, but when that shows I get a new pair.

Sketchers makes a decent pair of shoes and I admit I have had multiple pairs from them over the years. A lot of that has to do with they wear down from constant use. However, in most cases they are relatively cheap and I don't mind the expense, and they most definitely have some stylish shoes for casual activities. I do like these Citywalk Malton Oxford Brown Sneakers, but they aren't totally broken in and can be a bit uncomfortable by the end of the day. Perhaps my foot is a little too wide as they just feel compressed throughout the day. I have loosened the laces but I'm just chalking it up to them being new and the leather is tight. The look of the sneaker is top quality, all stitched and shiny/matte leather. Anymore these days I notice $75+ sneakers in stores and everything is practically glued on. Trying to avoid that, you can't go wrong with these. Like said above about comfort, I'd probably rate these around a 7/10 for comfort - a little too snug. I'd give it a 9/10 for looks, definitely quality craftsmanship. Durability of the shoes appears to be high given it's build quality, but I have had a similar pair (similar tread pattern) and over time the rubber sole started to pull away at the tip given it was so narrow. If I had to bet I'd say that the tip where sole meets leather is this shoes weakest point and first point of failure. Traction is a 10/10 for sure, you might as well play golf in them, I mean they grip hard and if you tend to shuffle you will catch them on any surface and risk a trip to face plant land. 4/5 stars simply because the break-in period is a bit rough. Speaking of golf, I used my previous pair for golfing, and while they were awesome for traction the leather hated the moisture. My black shoes ended up getting white rings from all of the water crystallization. Needless to say they had to be trashed for looking terrible. My advice, don't take these out golfing. It's still a little early to tell, but assuming these loosen up a bit they will be my go-to pair for most days in the office.

This is a good-looking, stylish, casual shoes from Skechers. It’s the antidote to the Nikes of the world. Skechers are known for making comfortable, durable, sensible, and innovative shoes. Unlike the typical athletic shoe which has an expected service life of six months, Skechers last a long time. They don’t sacrifice durability for fashion. Their arch support models are great for those with high arches. As a testament to their durability, the steel-toed models are popular work wear in manufacturing facilities. But Skechers are primarily casual shoes with an emphasis on comfort. The styling is usually conservative in order to make many of their models acceptable in a business-casual setting. This is my third pair of Skechers. The first was a steel-toed model that was worn in an industrial setting. The second was a bike toe lace up. This one is a brown lace up. I wear it with khakis for work and with jeans on the weekend. This is not a pair of athletic shoes. It is Skecher’s interpretation of a lace-up casual shoe. It is a great looking shoe. It was stiff at first but softened after a few days. It feels sturdy and durable. Cushioning and support are great. The leather parts can take a wax polish when needed. Highly recommended. Great shoes.

Love these shoes for my husband, he says they are comfortable and they look nice but can be worn daily.

I bought a pair of these shoes 4 years ago. Sketchers made them in an olive green and gray pattern at the time. Those shoes were the best and I wore them until they literally fell apart. Naturally I wanted the same thing to replace them since they'd worn like a champ, so I bought these. The photo makes these shoes look like a soft suede with leather accent upper but they are actually a harder leather throughout. They take a bit to break in. Having said that, the foot bed, sole, and arch support is perfect for someone like me who does not like the high arch supports they put in a lot of shoes. Once broken in, they are flexible and fit well. One word of caution, the rubber treads are very hard and slick out of the box. When the shoes are wet and you step onto a hard surface such as tile or polished concrete, watch out because there's a decent chance you could face plant like I nearly did. Twice. I roughed up the treads on a side walk to scuff off the coating they'd put on the treads at the factory to make them look polished and that helps a lot with traction. Also, shipping was abysmally slow. So much so that Amazon had to get involved. The shoes are comfy. They are true to size. They should last for quite awhile. I'd normally give them a 4 star rating. Because of the slick when wet treads and the slow shipping, however, these get a 3 star.

These have brown stripes that aren't shown (accurate photo attached). They were also too small. I will say I have an all-brown pair that I love, so if you want these with a brown stripe and can get them in your size, these Skechers are incredibly comfortable and durable.

This classic design doesn't die, at least for me. The moment my eyes saw, it was in the cart. Recommend.
