Leaking problems? Unit functions flawlessly after doing this
This fogger is great, it doesn't help with soil humidity so misting is still required if you have an animal that needs it to be humid underground. I'm using this for my blood python, and I live in the desert so normally I have to mist multiple times a day. With this unit, I only have to mist once a day, and if I miss a day my substrate isn't bone dry when I get to it. The timer functions etc are great, but I quickly stopped using them and switched to a humidity controller, which keeps the humidity from swinging wildly like when you mist. This unit works great with the controller, just make sure it is set to continuous. However, like many others have mentioned, I eventually ran into a major problem. After working perfectly up to this point, the unit suddenly started leaking like a sieve. I filled it and less than an hour later all of that water was in my carpet. After researching I came across a video from the manufacturer on maintaining the unit. The video pretty much just says take it apart and clean it, and really only mentions one other specific thing. It says to push down on the little spring at the bottom of the tank, remove the little white gasket that pops up inside the tank, and thoroughly clean that entire assembly. Upon removing those pieces I discovered two things: that little gasket is the only thing that controls the flow of water from the tank to the base and that the bottom of the gasket was covered in grime to the point where it could no longer seal. After cleaning the gasket and replacing it the unit was suddenly back to operating flawlessly. You should still clean the rest of the unit as it holds water and like anything in constant contact with water it will eventually get nasty. The unit can be cleaned fairly well to operating condition with just a sponge, however to really clean it well you will definitely need some tools to get into small spaces such as brushes and pipe cleaners or something similar in various sizes. Manufacturer recommends cleaning thoroughly at least once a month. As long as I do that, I haven't run into any problems with this unit. Please note that the unit has to be taken apart when you receive it as there are foam pieces in the base to prevent it from being damaged during shipping. If not removed they will also cause leaking.

Stopped working after 9 months
We got this humidifier for our Ball Python's tank. It worked great for several months until it suddenly started leaking into the bottom and the fan stopped working this week. The fan, by the way, is pretty much impossible to replace in the US because of the type of plastic wire caps used! Also, the directions and controls on this machine are not intuitive or user-friendly at all. It took a lot of trial and error to get the right setting- with only a phone number in China to contact for help. I even tried emailing the company but have received no response. In short, NOT WORTH IT.

DON'T LAST LONG!!
Works great when it works. We have had multiple ones and none have lasted over ten months. Most quit between 6-7 months. Most just stop working and won't turn back on. The last one stayed on and got so hot we were afraid it could've started a fire if we hadn't checked it.

Great fogging system!
This is the second fogging system that I have purchased for our Brazilian Red Tail BOA's terrarium so far. The first one was purchased out of immediate necessity from a local retailer. I ran it for a 2 weeks, then it became very noisy and produced little fog. I then realized that I needed a humidistat to control the fogger on a duty cycle. I purchased one and warrantied the unit. The second ran for a month and had the same issue. It was made by the other zoo brand. Enter this unit. Huge improvement #1. It holds a gallon of distilled water instead of a quart. I can refill it by simply pouring water in from the top instead of removing a bottle, then the cap, then reinstalling. Huge improvement #2. I have been using it for almost 2 months now. This unit is much quieter than the other ever was. Even after running on the same timer and a higher duty cycle due to a shed occurring. Huge improvement #3. This fogger has it's own built in scheduler, somewhat eliminating the need for a separate controller. This option does not control fog dependent on actual humidity, so you'll need to monitor and adjust it accordingly. It is easily configurable to run on a standalone humidistat, turning on with the previous settings when power is restored. Mine was set to this mode out of the box. I have not tested the internal controller, but am confident that it will work well. Huge improvement #5. This fogger is leaps and bounds better than my first selection, but was purchased for about half the price. Given the superior design, feature set, durability, and ease of use, I very highly recommend this product for your reptile's needs.

Convenient
Works great at keeping the humidity just right in my ball python’s enclosure. It holds a lot of water and you’re able to add more without any hassle. Highly recommend using distilled water versus tap water, it kept mine pretty clean. However my first one lasted me 2 years, then the fan quit. It would still make fog but wouldn’t blow it out. I gave 4 stars because it states that you can easily replace the fan but all I found on their site and Amazon was a fan for an earlier model for roughly $4. Could not find the fan for this one though. So in the end, I bought another one because this humidifier is convenient.

1 less thing I need to worry about!
Takes the worrying and constantly having to keep an eye on the humidity for any sort of tropical animal you have. Works perfect for my ball python. For a 4’x2’x2’ tank I have mine set to mist every 30 minutes for a total of 2 minutes on level 3. You can set it run it 24/7 if you wanted or you can have it have it go off in 30 min- 1,2,3,4,5 hr intervals and control how long and dense the fog will be. Very easy to set up. No noise at all. For the money, it’s worth it. Especially if you have an actual job and can’t stay home everyday and mist your snake. This does all the work for you, while you work! I’ve also had this same one for over a year now and haven’t had a single problem with it. Still works like new!

Best fogger/ Humidifier I’ve ever bought. It’s so EASY to clean. It’s so EASY to fill up. The digital display is a bit different to get used to but it’s nothing like learning a new language or anything. It is very touchy though, just brushing up against it can cause it to change settings however it beeps very loudly so it’s not like you don’t know when it’s changed- it does give a very loud warning with a “beep”, then you just gotta cycle through the settings to set it back to it’s previous state. Nothing too intense lol. Overall, it’s the best one I’ve owned for my pet tortoise yet. The sheer simplicity of filling it up is wonderful. What’s truly best though, is the fact of how the lid simply lifts off and I can easily fit my entire hand down to the bottom when it’s cleaning time- mind you I am a smaller female so my hand is my smaller than my S.O’s hand - he might have a little more difficulty reaching to the bottom than I do but it’s still waaaay easier than any other humidifier we’ve used for the tortoise. And I do mean WAAAY easier. I cannot stress this enough though: as with any fogger/ humidifier: THIS MUST BE CLEANED REGULARLY (as in once a month at the least). I refill this 2x a month (sometimes 3), and if it’s not cleaned at least once in this time, prepare to be stuck cleaning it with cotton swabs for a good hour or more. If you’re on top of your game and do it regularly. 1-2x a month it’ll be super simple. Another thing to keep in mind is you never wanna clean it with more than hot water. Do not use soaps or chemicals in here EVER. it’ll never fully come out (of this or any machine you use for your pets) and could cause a lot of harm to them!!! Hot water and some paper towels to wipe up the slime build up (a few swabs to get into the hard to reach places like under where the reserve tank sits, it’s gets yuki in there pretty quick, but it’s easy to reach and get out if cleaned regularly) and your set. All the other machines I’ve owned in the past have been a nightmare for me to even get my hand into, so this one’s a great choice. It’s on the expensive yes, but the advantages to it compared to others truly help it pay for itself in the long run. I think I’ve had mine now 3-4 years and I don’t think it’ looks a day older than the first day I got it. Nothin has worn of off it. It hasn’t chipped anywhere. No parts have needed replacing etc. if you’re sitting on the fence about it, just get it. You won’t regret it.

I have been using it for a few months now and it's working great. It's perfect for my snake enclosure and it's easy to clean. You should definitely try it.

When pouring water at the top, it often spills due to the curved design. I’ve had this product for two years and it’s been leaking very slowly, resulting in water damage

When it came, the small piece of plastic for the seal was broken. I tried gluing it back together and it worked nicely. My terrarium is on the smaller side, and on medium settings it saturates the tank adequately. I find that using my settings of 1 hr spraying every 30 mins, it runs through the 4L tank in around 48 hrs. Should be fine for my application. Just keep in mind that this is designed to be placed on the floor

I have used this humidifier for my reptile for 6 months. It is not only good, it works so wonderful and reduce tons of my tasks based on its design! Everything is perfect! The function is exactly what I look forward to. By setting the frequency flexibly to then it will add the fog to the terrarium automatically by the certain frequency you wanted! It's a great relief. Best thing I have purchased for my reptile in 2023 !!!
