Used it to cut twenty 20’ rods down to 5’ and worked great very quickly yes I probably could have done it faster with bolt cutters but I didn’t have to work up a sweat or hurt my back doing it. Worth every penny have much more to do so we will see how it holds up

After decades of cutting rebar by hand (giant bolt-cutter) this is a pleasure. Sure, it's loud and sure, it's a little slow, but pushing a button is a lot easier than wrestling the handles of the giant bolt-cutter. I used this cutter to cut heavy chain and it got bound up every third cut while in the cutting position. I had to use a grinding wheel to release the pressure so the cutter would retract. So I'd stick to rebar with this one.

This is a great tool for the money. It cuts rebar great!! It has definitely been a work horse for our small business!! I will definitely recommend to others!!

Case came damaged because this is a very heavy item and they didn't put any type of padding in the flimsy cardboard box they shipped it in. But the case is really just a box with no contours to hold this beast in place so it's useless anyway. It also doesn't come with the hydraulic oil you'll need to operate it so you might as well buy some at the same time as you order this. Other wise it works great so far but it is very heavy so the term "portable" rebar cutter is up for debate.

I received the Happybuy 16 900 watt cutter today and couldn’t wait to try it. It comes with a metal carrying case and handle. Everything was in great condition. I read the directions and adjusted the cutter bolt for a #5 bar. It cut the bar like butter. No effort at all and quick. There were no burrs or razor sharp edges. Better tool than I expected. The quality is very good. This rating is for only one cut but I suspect this tool will last for years using in light and occasional jobs.- I have used this tool to cut rebar for a couple months now. My opinion above has not changed. Great tool and showing no signs of wear.

I have cut over 300 pieces of 5/8" rebar with this tool and it has more than paid for itself in time saved! It comes with an extra set of blades, but I haven't needed to change them yet. It also comes filled with hydraulic oil and comes in a nice metal case. I rarely write reviews, but I am thrilled with the performance and value of this cutter.

The cord is a little bit of a pain, but the tool works so well It's worth it. We use if for tearing out concrete with rebar. I'll nip a piece here and there, makes it much easier for the excavator operator. It's also extremely handy for positioning rebar as well. This tool has already lasted two years. I really didn't think it would last that long, for the price. If it quits tomorrow, I'll buy another one. Extremely handy!
