There are many nice recipes including snacks and drinks which is great
The human body regulates and maintains the PH balance by eliminating excess acid from the body. But at times if our diet results in over eating certain kind of food item then the body acid can become imbalanced without our body really responding and showing until we may become sick and ill.This cookbook has about 150 delicious recipes which will help in balancing the diet and getting body back in health. There are many nice recipes including snacks and drinks which is great. I did try a couple of these recipes and they turned out to be really good. There were a lot of very helpful information about maintaining a healthy diet. I found this book easy to understand and very knowledgeable. I was lucky to receive this at discount or no cost for my honest and unbiased review.

New way of eating The Alkaline Diet
I wouldn't consider myself a particularly good eater so this book was interesting to me. Its based on the idea of eating to balance the acid-alkaline levels in your body. It goes into detail about how important PH is and how our eating habits cause us to eat more acidifying foods causing many problems from heart burn to diseases. After listing many Alkaline food suggestions it gives three variations of a thirty-day meal plan. I loved the ease of clicking on each meal to take me strait to the recipe in the book. My favorite is the smoothie section which I plan to try each and every one. Some of the others I enjoyed were the Delightful Desserts (who doesn't?) and the ease and simplicity of the Bountiful Bowls. In between these are vibrant photos and charts that are easy to follow. Another convenience was the Dirty Dozen list and Measurement Conversions at the end. Being a meat and potatoes girl, I don't think I could follow this diet fully, but I do love the creativity in replacing foods such as meats with healthier choices. I am very curious about many if these dishes and look forward to trying as many as possible.*I received this in exchange for a fair and honest review.

I love this book!
I went in each book on alkaline foods/diets and looked at them all. I have the extra challenges of inflammatory breast cancer, diabetes, fibromyalgia, liver and kidney problems, and inflammation throughout my body, I had to find a good book fast! This did not disappoint. Thanks to the author for a clear, concise product. You can jump right in. The water's fine!

Not the best of cookbooks
I gave this book 3 star's only because it has 150 recipes that are smooths, breakfast, lunch, dinner, and deserts.The problem I have is when I looked at it on Amazon that it showed pictures and pictures are important so people can see if they want to cook it or not especially when some of the recipes have silly names like " The Lady and the Tramp Bowl" and " good morning Popeye"When searching for picture's of the recipes on Google crazy picture's came up. The few pictures that they have don't have a name so it's hard to match up to the recipe and are few and far in between.Would I buy it again. No

Different ways of eating.
I purchased this book as a gift for someone else. However, the recipient says the book has enlightened them tremendously on the way they look at food. They have incorporated giving up red meat as a start after reading this book. As someone who was concerned about this recipients health I am thankful after reading this book my loved one has decided to take a step in changing their way of eating. This book has given them guidance on different ways of eating.
