These used to be rock solid but they are now quite unreliable probably due to a different chipset or manufacturing process. Have gone back to Black Magic Design.

Didn’t work but that’s just he luck of the draw
Didn’t work for me, may have been a faulty unit or may have been my application but there was not a lot of documentation. I think this is a similar item that’s sold on other online auction sites for less.

This SDI-HD converter works well to convert my JVC ProHD camera digital signal to HDMI. Since it is a digital to digital converter, the picture does appear slightly pixelated, which is to be expected. For my camera sending to large monitors of meetings, I ended up using the Component video outputs to HDMI which gave less pixelated results
