Unfortunately for me, good for you, I spent hours and hours using my local parts chain store parts, unbeknownst to me the seal on the filter (3x) was leaking, the housing (2x) was leaking, it was a complete piece of garbage. Finally, I found this set up. It is 100% industrial strength perfection, does not leak off! The parts chain store product was cheap, leaked, I had two filters get stuck on the base, complete dumpster fire. To top it all off, the one here on Amazon is the same price as the cheap junk part at the store? THIS ONE IS TOP SHELF !!!!

Works perfectly easy install I will do the cat upgrade to every Duramax I buy.

Install pretty easy I put them on both my pickups seem to work good. A little pricey but hopefully they are worth it in the long run

Product is as described and fits as it should.

Overall good product. Install was ok but more instruction would be better. Large oring between sections needs special care and a spanner wrench(not included) is necessary to tighten the adapter body. Seems to work ok after resolving the issues.

Works just like OEM, and the adapter fits the CAT Filter nicely.I will note, that the fitting for the CAT filter is LOOSE... and I would advise that the manufacturer make the fitting with sort of stop, and machine it to use with a tool of some sort... as the threads can cut through leather gloves with ease... meaning, wear gloves or lose skin when tightening the fitting.So far, a few thousand miles on it, no leaks or fueling issues. Will potentially update review in the winter for the fuel heating element.

Item is EXTREMELY poorly MANUFACTURED. threads going into the filter are so rough, damaged and poorly machined that they destroy the filter threads and produce metal shavings merely from the act of screwing on the filter and no I did not crossthread. Also the threads which secure the nipple to the filter head are so loose that the piece wobbles, it would not even be sealed up by massive amounts of Teflon tape or thread sealer which you would not want to use in this application anyway. make no mistake the simple Act of changing the filter on this will result in metal shavings in your injectors which of course will destroy them immediately. also this item was advertised as not needing to remove the check valve assembly in the OEM filter head that is not true the very first thing that the instruction show is to remove the check valve assembly in the filter head. also the method of installing the filter head into the OEM cylinder head is by inserting quarter-inch drill bit shanks into some pre machine holes and using them as handles to tighten. this may be some kind of third-world mechanics trick or something but it is not up to par and could result in injury or damage. I am a diesel engine mechanic for thirty-six years I'm telling you do not buy this item.

Advertised to come with filter head, filter and adapter. Only recieved filter and adapter with no filter head
