Little Blue Truck board book

What a great book for the little one! My baby is almost 4 months and she gets such a kick out of this book. The page layout is awesome and the illustrations are fantastic. There's so much for her to look at with each turn of the page. The story is adorable and contains a positive message about helping others, being kind, and working together. It's enjoyable for me to read as well; I get so caught up in making sound effects (e.g. car and animal noises). I also find the length of the story ideal. It's not so short that my daughter is left clamoring for more, but it's not so long that she loses interest. Great little book- highly recommend.

Excellent book. The rhythm is fun and easy to read aloud, the illustrations are attractive to look at and have lots of detail to go into with preschoolers (can you point out the sheep? how many toads are there? etc.), it has a plot line (a must for books you read over and over and over and over again) and the material is sturdy. Our son isn't quite old enough to gnaw on the pages yet, but we're spilled things on it and it's been shoved in and out of diaper bags and is holding up very well so far. I enjoy the larger size as it's easier to hold aloft to read to infants that are laying down while still being able to see the words. This is already a family favorite and I anticipate many years of readings ahead. The truck must swear like a sailor though; they had to beep out the entirety of his dialogue!

Board books are the best. This is a special book to me that I know by heart and bought to give to my nephew. He now has almost every little blue truck book out there ❤️

I can not say enough good things about this book and artist. The narrative is told in a rhythm of rhymes bringing the reader through a rural area learning about kindness. The Little Blue Truck teaches children about the importance of being kind and how one act of kindness can cause a rippling effect among those around you. We love to talk about the animals and their sounds as we look at the beautiful illustrations which light up every page of this book. There are pages that I just am amazed by the paintings and how lively they are. My child enjoys hearing me read this story often and I do too. Great message. The book is made with a thick cardboard making it difficult to bend or be ruined by young children learning about books for the first time. It's a great size too. We like to throw it in the back pack or in our over night bag when going out of town.

I’ve purchased this time and time again!! My kids Love it, teaches animal names and sound, with a lesson about being kind, such a cute book! I buy this for almost every baby shower or toddler birthday party we are invited to!

And my son likes it a lot too lol. The pictures are artfully done, the rhyming, rhythm & flow all work together to make it an easy read, the moral of the story is great and I like that the book itself has character (ex: "...big important wheels got stuck.") I only bought it because a lot of people in a toddler group I'm in had recommended it (I wasn't familiar with it before I ordered it), but I'm really glad that I took their suggestion because this is one of the few books by son has that I don't mind reading multiple times a day.

With our local grandchildren grown, this book was new to me when we visited our younger grandsons out of state. This was the favorite book of the 3 1/2 year old, and also my favorite. Wonderful rhyming story with fabulously perfect illustrations (watch for the frog!) and also a wonderful message. We've bought several copies for friends and just sent a copy to another friend whose first grandchild is due soon. I highly recommend it, and also its sequels. All very well done.

I first got this book for my son when he was about 15 months old and he did not have the patience for me to read through so many sentences of the book. My son turned out to be a big fan of vehicles and I decided to try this book again when he was about 30 months old. This time the book instantly hit a cord with him. His eyes shine up the moment I turn the page and dump truck appears and he shouts histerically 'HONK'. He loves how the BIG dump truck comes through and has big important things to do. My son and me speak each sentence with heavy voice to give that air of importance to the dump truck. Then when the important truck gets stuck, my toddler says 'Oh Oh, the truck is stuck- what can we do now'. He loves how LITTLE blue truck comes to help the BIG dump truck and how everybody hears little blue's BEEP BEEP BEEP. He loves repeating 'A lot depends on a helping hand from a few good friends'. In fact in these two months, he had made me read the book zillions of times and now he knows each sentence by heart. So many times, I have seen him reciting the entire book to himself like a poem and jumping with euphoria. Even when we go for a walk he pretends to be dump truck that gets stuck in every tiny puddle of the road and I become little blue truck who has to push with all its might.

I have been reading this book for my daughter since she was 2 weeks old (Yes!!, 2 weeks old ;)) and now at 2.3 years, she still LOVES IT!!!! I always got a giggle out of her as baby when I made OINK OINK 🐷 piggy sounds and now she can actually tell the entire story!!! It's fun to read as a parent with all the sound effects we get to make n It's awesome fun for the children to hear it as well. Plus, I think it teaches kids about animals n the sounds they make (they pick it up n learn to associate automatically) we don't have to teach them mechanically- Hey kid! time to learn animals n their sounds, ala the way I was thaught as a kindergarten! I fully recommend this book for your child! Also, I would like to add that I received the product before the expected delivery date and it was in excellent condition!

Libro davvero molto bello che con semplicità e allegria tratta temi interessanti come la gentilezza e l'amicizia. Lo consiglio vivamente! Noi lo leggiamo alla nostra bimba di due anni e mezzo e lo ascolta volentieri anche la piccola di nove mesi.
