BladesUSA HK-1482 Red Flame Samurai Fantasy Sword, Black/Silver, 26-Inch Length

(I am a first timer on swords here) This sword is really lightweight, didnt come in sticky, its came in nicely and BEFORE my original time.Like the other reviews, the handle's fabric is really loose and the end of the handle CAN pierce objects. Its a nice size I guess, the sheath made it look twice as thick. Came in sharp, it passed the apple and cantelope test. The button that holds the handle of the sword in the sheath is kinda loose. The shoulder strap fits. The sheath gives good character, its not like 'oh here is where you put the sword so you dont cut yourself', its like 'see this curved edge here? I can cut anything when i unsheath this blade'. The flame on it is not bright nor as dull as the pic and it looks really cool. The flame seems to be a blood red color. Overall... its good. NOT THE BEST SWORD IN THE WORLD. But worth the money and worth the wait.

Actually surprised at how well made this is. Sure it is a cheap sword but it is perfect length for close quarters/bed-side protection and extremely sharp. It came with a sheath that I clipped around my bed frame, so it is safe from me accidently hitting it in my sleep but also ready for action if someone tries to catch us off guard in the middle of the night. I feel more secure having this than a gun that is not cocked because of the additional time and thought that would take in an emergency. I also don't like leaving a gun loaded and cocked, so that led me to this and I love it.

I just got this beauty in the mail, and boy am I pleasantly surprised! I ordered this little less than a week ago, and with the standard shipping got here today! Lovely time for being across the states. I will say one thing that's bad about this product, is that my sword tends to go right through the sheath if I'm not careful enough, so don't apply too much force when sheathing it. I also find it a bit difficult to find a place to hang it from off my waist. Other than that, for a short sword like this, it's got a good weight, good edge (though it could use a bit of sharpening if you want it to slice paper in a matter of a couple of seconds) and a nice design. Note, the decal is only on one side of the blade.

This machete/sword is actually really good for the money... Bad parts: The sheath is pretty much a waste. I give the sheath 2 stars. 2 stars Because its there and it functions, but it breaks apart so easily. The sword stabs it through the bottom, so you can actually stab yourself if you're not careful, and the sword can cut it through the sides, once again stabbing yourself if your not careful. Other than that, the sword has a real long, sharp point, and, if you actually use it, that point will bend. And the strings / handle will unravel. Just tie it up back. I have no other real complaints of this sword at this price point. It looks REALLY nice and impressive, and actually functions. A definite buy.

Solid blade, one piece, and holds an edge. I have used it as a machete several times, on blackberry vines as big as your thumb, small elm scrub, and other trees, and cedar branches clearing brush away from a fence to fix it. I have accidentally hit metal t-posts and barbed wire, and the blade does not nick easy. A few licks with a stone and the small nicks were gone. The handle eventually came unraveled from catching in thorns. I wrapped the bare metal handle with leather and coated it with JB Weld epoxy. After it set up, I re-wrapped the handle as it had been before with the original cord. I sprayed Plasti-Dip onto the cord, and it made an excellent handle that has held up with vigorous use. The scabbard is not very functional, as it is easy to poke the tip of the blade through it when sliding the blade back in. Small issues aside, the blade is better than any machete I have ever used. I am going to buy a couple more and have one as a spare, and one to carry in my truck tool box all the time.

Beautiful sword; very well made. Its UNBEARABLY sharp though... I had it hanging on my wall by the paracord loop connected to the handle, by a command hook, hung directly above a hard-shell acoustic guitar case, about 4 feet above it... IN THE SHEATH. The command hook gave way, and the sword fell onto the guitar case. "No big deal, it's in a sheath"... OH WAS I WRONG. In that 4ft fall, the tip is so sharp, that it stabbed through the sheath, and got stuck in my guitar case, DEEP ENOUGH TO PICK IT UP OFF THE GROUND.... No guitars were damaged, but that case has a nice little battlescar now... And an interesting story to go with it. Definitely buy it if youre looking at it, but BE WARNED, that tip is dangerous

I read quite a few reviews about this product and wasn't sure on whether I should by it our not. I took a gamble and purchased the product. It came incredibly fast, and when I opened it up, I wasn't really disappointed or delighted. The blade is nice, and worth the amount you pay for. The blade itself looks really nice and just like the picture, but as you can tell from the other reviews, the handle sucks. Its wrapped in some black rope and comes loose after a few swings. If you want something to admire in your hand this is the product, but if you want to mess around and swing around a sword, this is definitely not the product(note that the blade is sharp, but not sharp enough to cut yourself accidently, as far as I can tell).

For a cosplay sword, this looks to be and handle better than others and will give years of service. It's also Very sharp and can do a lot of damage in a real fight. Should you hit anything solid with it, you may well permanently bend it to uselessness as it's only stainless and not something like laminated or spring steel. The handle is a cheap wrap and comes apart easily which should be addressed with some type of clear sealant that will bond it permanently to the metal and possibly give a better grip. If it weren't for the protector on the tip of the blade the sheath wouldn't stand a chance, being in serious need of some type of liner to keep the point and blade edge from cutting it to uselessness.

I heard in other reviews that the grip is just a weak attempt at a cord wrap, instead my sword was shipped with padding on the handle, so I see absolutely no cons with getting this sword. Amazing quality it has some heft to it, but light enough for even the weaker warriors can swing it. Love the flame paint, although the material they used to put it there is already wearing off with use eventually leaving me with all black blade. Only real complaint is the sheath is flimsy, and a little awkward to put the sword back in. Yet again, a sword like this is really something to be displayed, not shrouded away. Five stars!

It would've been five stars if the sheath was more resistant. As soon as I got it out of the box, I noticed the very much pointy and sharp end going through. As you can see in the pictures, the blade is a little bigger than a machete but is extremely dangerous and sharp. I actually almost cut myself just touching the edge. The sword is awesome! The sheath is garbage. Overall great sword. The flame detail is also only on one side.

I ORDERED 2 to duel wield these things are damn Legends in the field the durability is good along with sheath the sheath is back mounted (goes on your back) and there is a clip in and out to take it off or put it on your back i say you can have about 4 of these on your back decent design however there thin but good

Blades usa is awesome product I loveit very sharp very handy it's dangerous make sure that product is not approach to small kids dangerous for him
