Every Home Should Have This!
Smoke alarms should do more than just start beeping at 3am when you're in dreamsville. They should detect smoke! Unfortunately, the little green light on the alarm doesn't tell you that, so you need this product. It works! Now at least I know that my smoke alarms actually detect smoke, just in case there is a fire!I tested this on our ten-year-old, smoke-only alarms, as well as on our new smoke and smoke & CO alarms. They all sounded off. One can of this product tests at least four alarms, probably more since the can is not empty yet. Easy to use, I will never be without it!Also, do yourself another favor, and replace your 9v smoke alarm alkaline batteries with 9v lithium batteries. They should last about five to ten times longer, so you have to change them much less often.

Works well, but very costly
I used it for checking my smoke detectors. It works well, but it is twice as costly as the others. According to the advertisement, I was supposed to get 2 cans for about $19, but I only received one. The company did reimburse me right away, though, for the 2nd can I didn't receive.

Smoke in a can a little mislead but work fine
Used this spray to test smoke alarms, I was expecting some kind of smoke not a spray. We just put new flooring in and had to cover it because I didn’t know if the over spray would stain or not.

I'm very pleased. Thanks to my monitoring company for suggesting it
It works perfectly. Just testing the button on a smoke detector doesn't prove it would work in an actually situation. This proves it. No visible particles so a small smoldering fire would probably set it off. I'm very pleased. Thanks to my monitoring company for suggesting it. Now, I'm telling everyone.

"Smoke in a Can"... NOT
Title "Smoke in a Can" is entirely deceiving. It's nothing more than an aerosol mist that in NO WAY resembles smoke. There was nothing in the ad for this product that truly defined what came out of the can when sprayed and stupid me, I was expecting something that actually resembled "smoke"... oh well. I'll never make that mistake again.I ordered three cans and, thinking that maybe the first one was defective, I shot a spray from the second and then the third... all to no avail. When I contacted the seller, their response was.. "since you've used the can, we can't take it back".End of story.

Product was useless for this purpose
I was looking for something that produced visible smoke. I wanted to check the function of a bathroom exhaust fan. Product was useless for this purpose.
