EBCBrakes FA231HH Disc Brake Pad Set

These brake pads are 100% better than the stock pads that had only 4,200 miles and half wear on them. I changed them out because they felt like wood break pads. Need to seat the pads ( I believe that is the term). Do 3 different level of stops at different speeds and intensities. No squeaks. Just as quiet as stock. Very happy with results.

These are excellent brake pads at a very reasonable price. They are easy to install. The only drawback is that these pads do not have the grooves that usually come on the original pads to help dissipate some of the heat generated by the friction of pads and disk. So far, they have been working great and not creating any vibrations or sluggish braking. I would definitely buy these pads again.

Very good pads if you want performance not the easiest on your rotors but they bite. Make sure to bed them in properly. Break in is very important.

I bought my 2008 Vstrom a few months ago. I wanted to change the brakes for an upcoming trip. After removing the old pair, I noticed that the brake pads had over half of their life left on them. They were from another high quality brand and were the other companies version of these HH pads. I did not remove and check the old pads for wear before I purchased these. For me these pads stop just the same as the one the ones that were installed before. They obviously stop better because they are brand new. All you have to do is barely pull back on the brake lever and its stops you very quick.If you are going to change out the the front brake pads on the Vstrom remember that you also need to purchase the EBC FA229HH as one pair is for the right caliper and one is for the left. The rear brake on this motorcycle has a tendency of not being that great. I did not replace the rear brake pads with the EBC equivalent because the pads are still in shape and because 90% of the braking on a bike is supposed to come from the front brakes.

Bought a set of these for a GS500F. I was really impressed by these, especially with the previous set of EBC pads I had purchased. Stops the bike almost as nice as my r6 (you have to squeeze a little harder, of course. I also have the galfer steel brake line and a bigger master cylinder) You could probably lock up the front wheel if you really put your mind to it, but I haven't seen a hint of that (pirelli sport demons).I also cleaned the road tar, dust, fork seal oil, etc. off the forks and rotor with a pressure washer which helped them bite a little better.For the rear brake, I'd recommend going with the cheapo long-life pads since even those have more than enough bite to lock up the rear, which is not especially desirable.

They were a little less grabby than my other brakes but that is to expect from sintered brakes. You will brake a little harder with these for the same stopping power (at least I find that), but that is a good thing. My wheels seemed to easy to lock uo before, this gives me more control. It takes a lot more force to lock the wheels up which I like.

Works great on my 2018 Sv650! Impressive initial bite but haven't really tested them with a lot of heat in them. They are a bit louder than the factory pads. They sound like the first brake application if the rotors are rusty but now as loud. I can only hear it when I coast into the driveway engine off though.

Popped them in easily and they fit!

The stock pads are more expensive but they last longer. They usually need changing when I change the tire so I do the both jobs at once. With the factory pads I have to keep a close eye on them because they last longer than the tire. I prefer to do both at the same time.
