Buffalo Bills Original Western Cut Big Slab Beef Jerky (15 beef jerky slabs per bag)

This is by far my favorite jerky. It's got that old-timey texture that reminds me of my childhood days growing up in the southern desert. It's the kind of jerky that will take you time to finish one slab, it's very chewy, tough, flavorful, and dry in a good way. What the other reviewers say is true, when it's good it is the best jerky every, but when you get a bad batch it feels like a waste. However, it is so good that I keep buying them anyway because no one makes jerky this good and no one does the western cut like this, in tasty long-lasting sheets outside of small dusty southern states.Now my question... every single Western Cut is sold out without a restock in sight. Is this the end of this line of jerky? I sure as hell hope not, but if not... when is it coming back? I need my stash, asap!

Very disappointed, Jerky is supposed to be made from lean meat, almost no fat. My package contained Jerky that was full of fat and grizzle. Ended up throwing away a substantial amount of the product. Everyone knows that Jerky has zero to very little fat as it is supposed to stay preserved for long periods. However when there is large portions of fat in the jerky it tends to turn rancid and ruins the Jerky product. I definitely will not be purchasing this product again! Would give it a Zero Stars rating if Amazon would let me!

My husband and I are beef jerky aficionados. We love to go on road trips simply because we would be able to stop at different gas stations to look for different brands of beef jerkies. However, once we have discovered Buffalo Bills Cajun Western Cut Big Slab Beef on AMAZON, other beef jerkies pale in comparison. Not only Buffalo Bills Cajun Western Cut Big Slab Beef has the fire-breathing hotness from the pepper flakes, its marination is also so so very flavorful. It is sweet but not too sweet. It is salty but not too salty, in which allows us to enjoy piece after piece without wanting to drink gallons of water after consumption. My husband and I are now very addicted to Buffalo Bills Cajun Western Cut Big Slab Beef, and we have to order it once a month. One thing I have to mention is that I wish the company can make a re-sealable packaging because the beef jerkies tend to dry out once the bag is cut open and cannot be closed. In order to prevent my beef jerkies from drying out, I have to buy oversize ziplock bags to store them in.

I bought the black pepper. My biggest issue with this jerky. Is that all of the pieces are coated in a candy like glaze that leaves you fingers extremely sticky and ruins any other flavors present. You don't taste meat, you don't taste back pepper. You just taste the sweet candy like glaze that this has. This is the worst jerky I've ever eaten. The normal Buffalo Bills jerky that's actually smoked and cut into strips tastes good. This stuff is awful. The other issue with this jerky is that is very fatty. As others have mentioned jerky shouldn't be fatty, it has to be made from very lean meat. This stuff is like candied beef bacon. Super fatty and super sugary. I wish I Could return this its awful. Least the dogs will have a treat now.

This is by far my favorite jerky to buy, in fact the only jerky I will buy as I usually make my own. Would give 5 stars but there are a couple things to be noted.I've ordered over 25 bags of this stuff to date, out of those 25 bags have had 4 bags with tears or sealing defects. 1 bag had minor molding, but the outside pieces were discarded and the rest was fine.This is a personal preference but I cut the slabs into smaller pieces so they can fit inside of a jar so I don't eat the entire bag in one sitting because this stuff is great.Personally tend to add extra seasoning to the jerky as they season quite mellow, which is a good thing. Couple shakes of Johnny's season all salt into the cut up pieces and the small bits of oil from correctly made jerky hold the perfect amount of seasoning.All in all this is my favorite jerky and the only one I am willing to buy anymore because people like jack links andbold trapper are switching to sweeter moister jerky to sell water instead of fantastic chewy jerky!

I have tried several brands of jerky over several years. This jerky is very sweet and sticky. Due to the stickyand wetness this jerky will mold very quickly. It doesn't appear to be a dry cured jerky, very damp andcandy like. ( The kind that I purchased, Sweet & Spicy ). Not spicy at all, just sweet, like a candy coating...For my taste for jerky, this is NOT jerky at all. The other flavors might be just fine. This one doesn't makethe grade for me...Just giving you an honest truthful personal opinion...

I really like this jerky. The flavor is a slightly sweet peppery flavor. The slabs are very thin and does have large holes in many since it is not mashed together processed stuff like some other not so great brands (<cough> tillamook!). It is chewy and has very little moisture which I like in jerky. Not super salty like some other brands that mask all flavor with salt (<cough> tillamook!). This I will buy again for sure. Actually just did... Goes fast.An update: My second order was spicier, much thicker and less big holes. The first order the slabs were very thin compared to the second. Will still order again.

This stuff is amazing. It taste great, it's not too dry, but not too moist. It's very thin and the package has so much in it. Definitely worth a buy. Can just grab a whole slab out of the package and be on your way. I'll definitely buy more in the future.Update: knocked a star off, because the second time I ordered, while it tasted good, was VERY tough. Almost to the point where it felt stale.
