Ok but had to modify fixing

Easy to clean and like the soft-closing seat. Was a little darker than expected but looks very good

Looks good bought one the other month for shower room this ones for main bathroom .

My last toilet seat broke late last year when my five year old grand-daughter fell against it. It was very old. This one looks nice and appears sturdy. However, it was a right faff to get it fitted and it regularly works loose and will not now return to its original position. One of the hinges appears to have cracked. It has therefore been a very expensive item for short-term use and will have to be replaced. Needless to say I will not be replacing it with the same product.

Not solid wood but wood effect. Hinges are brilliant so swapped them over to the original seat, which is real wood.

I've had this for a year and a half now, it's a very attractive wood-effect toilet seat that suited the more natural wood-furniture aesthetic of my home. I'm not strong and have no DIY skills but it wasn't to tricky to figure out how to install this new toilet seat, and apart from a couple of easily-scratchable plastic pieces which are only for cosmetic purposes, I was pleased to find that most of it seemed sturdy and it had metal parts.However, although I did the screws up tight each time, the toilet seat would keep gradually becoming wobbly until guests were getting jump-scared whenever they used the bathroom. As much as I found their distant cries of alarmed surprise quite amusing, it was a pain to have to keep re-tightening the screws every couple of months.But today, while trying to take the toilet seat off so I could tighten the screws once more, the main lid of which clips into the two fastened discs with two metal pins, I found that one of the pins had become stiff and was stuck within its respective disc. Now I'm not strong, but I tried to pull the pin out and to my surprised managed to entirely snap the pin off, leaving it stuck in the disc (I was later able to remove it) with it snapped off at the base and no longer connected to the lid of the toilet seat. It does seem to be made of metal, but clearly not very sturdy metal if my weak noodle arms could break it trying to remove it from something it's supposed to easily be removed from.Needless to say my toilet seat will continue to be very wobbly while only fastened from one side, until I can pull together another £40 to replace it, or hopefully just find a replacement hinge. And I found the whole experience rather disheartening for the price I spent.

We received a very prompt response to requested return of the toilet seat which was damaged on receipt.The Company contacted us and after viewing the photographs of said damage and package, arranged for a replacement which arrived next day. This had green stickers stating that the item had been checked and it was undamaged.We have now fitted the seat which was straight forward and, the opening/ closing action is superior to our previous seat purchased from a high street store. It is also better value for money.

Good product for the price, would certainly be a nice improvement over a plastic/venir seat, but not quite the quality I was hoping for. Hard to describe what I don't like other than some of the edges are a little bit sharper than you might want, but I guess the lesson is that if you want the best quality you pay extra for the best product! This was the cheapest solid wood seat I could find and, for the price, it's a great product.
