Macu Shield Gold Food Supplement - Pack of 90 Capsules

My macular has not advanced since I have been on these vitamins. Easy to swallow. Take 3 a day but worth the money. Have not had any side effects.

I was diagnosed with macular drusen and the doctor recommended I eat large amounts or dark leafy greens and many other foods I love. The problem is, they are also high in oxalates which help my body produce kidney stone so he recommended MacuHealth supplement as a way to slow the progression or stop altogher. Upon research these are the same supplements but they are distributed in Europe and MacuHealth is distributed in North America. They take a bit to arrive coming from Europe but well worth the price!

Look carefully at the ingredients. Companies are doing this recently, and it's very dishonest and misleading. They give dosages that are not in a single pill, but in multiple pills. This one has a dosage list that requires 3 capsules to achieve it. I bought a similar product from this company before, for close to the same price at three times the strength! One pill per day, not three! Mind you, they've added other ingredients - but I don't want them, and you might not either. A whole lot of zinc, which some says contributes to the problem that this formulation is supposed to solve. Also a lot of vitamin C. Both zinc and vit C are easily and cheaply available on their own. Why add them to this formulation? The original was a much better product. Now I will be moving to a competitor, "vision defender" which doesn't do this misleading rubbish.

A friend did the research a few years back and thought this was the best one for continuing eye health.

The capsules are small and easy to swallow and doesn’t have a bad aftertaste. I can’t say I’ve noticed a huge change in my eyesight yet, but I do feel a bit more confident knowing I’m giving my eyes some support. I chose the Gold version. I’ve noticed my eyes feel less strained especially in the mornings and the slight blurriness I used to have has eased a bit. I understand this is not a quick fix results may take time but I do feel more comfortable overall. However, the price is quite high for just a 30-day supply, so I’m still deciding if I’ll keep using it long term.

Seems ok but didn’t twig these need to be taken three times daily which is a bit too much of a burden on my memory and even more on my lifestyle as work takes me out and about.. Whilst the quality is fine, and they are easy to take, I won’t be getting any more because of this.
