UPDATE: I took about 8" off to suit me better. It handles better, and looks less like a Moses staff. LOL!I searched the internet for a crooked walking stick and Brazos is the only game in town. This 58" oak crooked staff is awesome! It's an inch thick and the crook is narrowed flat in the turn. It's kinda tall for me (I'm 5'10" and the top of the crook comes up to my shoulder). I might cut it down, but it's so beautiful, I'm going to try it long. It feels about 1.5-2 lbs. Super nice and LIFETIME WARRANTY! Thanks Brazos Walking Sticks!

When you're old, don't get down on the floor without a plan to get up. This helps immensely. A normal cane can be used to push yourself up, but this allows you to pull yourself up. Moving up and down stairs is another plus. It allows you to negotiate multiple stairs at a time. Any long Shepards hook could fill the bill, but this is also a very quality item made of oak. A great gift for anyone old, suffering from balance issues. I used wire ties to add a carabiner to it. That allows connection of any items required by us old folks to be easily carried and not lost. Won't go out in the yard without it!

This is one beautiful oak walking stick. I love it. Is solid I’m disabled. It helps me get around so much. Oh my goodness this thing is one solid cane. And beautiful high-end cane, very high-end Not junk that’s for sure. You’ll look good walking with this bad boy in the woods travel like a grizzly bear. Can’t say enough I’ll just be rambling and babbling because I can’t say enough about this cane. I can’t say enough wonderful things it’s beautiful just put it in your cart and buy it.

I thought I was purchasing a standard walking stick... This one is like a Shepard's stick. It's solid but tall and heavy. Came in huge TV size box.

I use a staff daily in stead of a cane so i did not cut it to size. . This works just as well. I am 6 ft tall and this helps me to stand up straight as well as balance to walk. Better than leaning on a short cane.

I purchased this can/crook to give as an ordination gift to a youth pastor. A symbolic gesture as to how far a youth can wonder oof before the youth pastor pull them back to safety. They all loved it!!! Can be a great walking stick as well. Great finish and extremely solid. I highly recommend it.

It's very easy to spend $100-$500 on a custom made wooden cane. I thought to save quite a bit by buying this and customizing it myself (see photos) while I waited for my fancier one. Turns out what I have with this will probably be my every day carry and the fancy one brought out just for special occasions.Oh and this is way too long to use as a regular cane, but that just means you have plenty to work with when you cut it to length.Thumbs up from me.
