Great piece of kit, does everything really well
I bought this to serve the purpose of an in-home Bluetooth speaker that I can move around and use in the garden for BBQ parties as well and it does not disappoint!I didn't know if you could even get DAB radios with Bluetooth input on decent rechargeable batteries but this is exactly that!Solid wooden construction does not feel cheap at all, great handle too and looks fantastic in my home. The sound is a lot better than i imagined a speaker of this size could even output, it's nice and clear and after turning up the bass and treble it sounds fantastic and it can go LOUD and not struggle at all on the lows.I can't speak for battery life when using Bluetooth but i ran it on DAB for around 24 hours and it's only just showing as the bottom battery indicator, so it'll be perfect for those long summer days in the garden. I just have a "usual" spot for it where its AC adaptor lives and run it off mains, then i have the battery ready to go.Definitely recommend if you want a portable speaker with a big sound plus DAB/FM radio included that won't break the bank (I paid around £60)

For the money, you won't find better.
I’d been looking to replace my DAB radio for a DAB+ because some stations I listen to had moved over to DAB+. Having listened to others in showrooms, I was either disappointed with the sound quality or put off by the high price. I only wanted a radio for use in the garage and around the garden so couldn’t warrant spending £100 plus.Having read some of the reviews on Amazon I decided to take a punt and buy the Azatom. I wasn’t disappointed. Sound quality is good and sound level more than adequate for use inside and out (I’ve never gone much above 50% volume). I have used it out in the garden all day and the battery, from full, lasted with power to spare. Bluetooth was easy to set up and works perfectly. Can charge phone whilst streaming to radio which does normally drain phone battery. There is also a aux port and the radio comes with a jack to jack lead if you’d rather not use Bluetooth The only downside, which has been mentioned in another review is the display. Despite it having brightness settings, even on the highest setting the display can be hard to see. But don’t be put off by this one minus point, it’s a brilliant radio for the money and also comes with a 3 year warranty which you have to register online with Azatom. I thoroughly recommend it.

Great Radio when working properly
I had big hopes for this Radio It looks great very well built with a good amount of weight to it, all giving the impression of a good quality unit that promises good sound. In reality, mine sounded flat and tinny with no bass with thin sound and not a lot of mid-range either. Turns out mine is faulty and I have to set the Bass and Treble every time I turn it on as it seems to reset to a flat sound signature when in standby. Will be calling their customer support to hopefully get this fixed or replaced.Overall a good radio that has good sound if working properly and well built also looks great and is easy to use and move around the house. The battery seems to last a good 6-7 hours on a moderate volume level and the Bluetooth is a great asset and the only thing that would be a nice addition would be a remote control.

Great radio
This radio is great, sounds good, gets plenty of stations, and was a fair price, with a 2 year warranty

Looked promising but in reality, awful sound quality and technically flawed
I purchased this after researching what was available on the market. For the price, it ticked all the boxes for me, as I wanted a radio alarm, DAB with Bluetooth connectivity, but with great sound to wake up to and fall asleep to.The DAB radio is clear and easy to use, the Bluetooth worked as expected, but hey this is not rocket science. The radio alarms, 2 of them, were easy to setup and worked as expected. Here’s where the positive comments end, and I write this review as a big “Approach with caution” as the device falls well short of what would be expected. The sound quality is clear but the bass response is false and boxy. With some bass EQ lift you can make it sounds slightly more acceptable (or less annoying) but very quickly the tone quality grates on you and you really don’t want to switch it on.Now for the showstopper, and one which has been confirmed by the manufacturer as a feature and correct operation. The unit has a button to power the radio on and to put it into standby, as standard on any digital device. However, the only way to take the unit out of standby is to press the power button, which switches the unit off, then press and hold it again to turn the unit back on. This is nonsense and a technical oversight and certainly not a feature. Consider this scenario, the radio comes on in the morning, if the sound quality doesn’t drive you out of bed and you hang around long enough, the radio alarm times out and puts the unit into standby mode, as expected. You choose to continue to listen to the DAB radio, so you simply press the power button, but instead of turning the unit back on, it powers it down, with no option to do anything else.Another common scenario, the phone rings, so you press the power button to turn the DAB radio off, putting it into standby mode, and you take the call. Now the only way of turning the radio back on again is to press the power button, which powers it down, with no option to do anything else. You then have to press and hold the power button to turn the unit back on again. Technically, this is either a flawed design, or an oversight, but having asked the manufacturer directly, apparently this is a feature.Make your own decision to purchase, but my suggestion is a firm, Don Not Touch. My unit is heading in the only direction I see fit, back to Amazon for a full refund.
