This isn't just a syrup; it's a shortcut to cocktail perfection! The flavor is incredibly rich, and allows the taste of your bourbon and whiskeys to come through, complemented by just the right amount of sweetness and a touch of bitter complexity. Delicious. I buy this for my son in law & he really likes it. My daughter mostly makes the Old Fashions so that part of it too. I occasionally have one tho not a bourbon fan. She makes mine with Crown. Nice mix.

One problem you will create is that everyone will expect you to make them one of your special an old fashion cocktails when they stop by!!! I have learned to make six at a time for parties and social gatherings. It s now my trademark!! LOL!

Decent taste, but it gets old quick
I found the smokey taste to be interesting the first drink in. By the end of the month, I was glad that it came in such a small bottle. I definitely didn't want to have any more of it. Maybe I just needed a bit more diversity with my mixers, or maybe I needed to share the bottle with some friends instead of drinking it all myself. Either way, I found the flavor to get stale fairly quickly. It was worth the experiment, which is why I gave it four stars, but go into it with an open mind.

Utterly delicious
Makes a nice Old Fashioned without all the extra work. Flavors are perfect, tastes like you went through all the effort of the real deal. I use it with Maker's Mark and a couple of ice cubes and have been very pleased.

The secret ingredient to an amazing espresso martini!!
Not going without this now that I’ve found it! My husband and I have discovered the best espresso martini recipe using Bittermilk, Stoli, and Mr. Black’s. I’ve given 1 away as a gift and used 2 1/2 for myself so far. (Yes! I’ve purchased 4 bottles in 2 weeks!). We like our espresso martinis strong and by using equal parts of Bittermilk, Stoli, and Mr. Black’s we have found perfection. I also sprinkle a bit of espresso powder (the kind used for baking) on top and they’re phenomenal! Without Bittermilk it wouldn’t be complete! This is now a staple in our home bar.

Makes a great drink but a little bit will do it!
I received my bottle yesterday and made an Old Fashioned with it last night. While it's not quite the best I've had, it's certainly better than any I've attempted to mix myself. I mixed it with Four Roses Small Batch bourbon, and it was outstanding. I do agree with the reviewer who commented that the 4 to 1 ratio makes it too sweet. I plan to try 5-1, and even 6-1. If those work out like I think they will it will make the small bottle go much further. One observation is you really need to stir it well. I gave it my usual amount of stirring and much of the mix was still settled on the bottom. I like the product and plan to try the other styles soon. Two big thumbs up!!Follow-up 2/22/25: I mixed another with a 6-1 ratio and liked it better as it was not as sweet, but I could still taste the subtle spices in the mix. I might even try 7 or 8 to 1. The small bottle will last almost twice as long if either pans out. Even at 6-1 you should be able to make half again as many drinks! Cheers!!
