This book is extremely well organized and has a lot of visual interest. It has really great charts and diagrams, and lots of pictures. It's quite interesting and even though I was an upper level manager for many years, I still learned a lot from this book. It contains a lot of newer businesses concepts, like cultural sensitivity. It's a very up-to-date volume.That was really packed with information and a lot of terminology that will be new for a lot of students, it's written in an engaging interesting manner. It contains excellent resources extended learning past this volume.Be prepared to learn a lot of new vocabulary in this book! The glossary at the end is very helpful.

In my positions, we are encouraged to grow as managers. This book has a good organization, a good approach, and plenty of self assessments. It makes sense and is well researched. It definitely helped me to adapt some of my techniques and the feedback in the latest review shows the impact of some of the skills. For managers who are interested in supporting their staff and meeting staff where they are but encouraging growth too, this is a great book.

This is an intriguing textbook that covers Organizational Behavior in a more hands on way. The book can be a great resource for managers seeking to gain a better understanding of how to increase motivation, have important conversations, improve job satisfaction and group dynamics. What I particularly like about the book is that it has plenty of critical thinking opportunities, experiential exercises, and self-assessments that the reader can use to get a hands-on idea of how OB can be applied in the workplace.
