Black velvet when lightly blended
Love these charcoal pencils! They sharpen easily with a small metal hand sharpener, just wish they had come pre-sharpened. They apply nice and smooth on the paper, but they really show beautifully when you blend them. Just a light touch and they turn into black velvet. Yummy! Good price for 12 pencils, and they will last a long time. I bought a box of each, the neutral, soft and extra soft. The extra soft is my favorite. I highly recommend them! Even though I'm waiting for cataract surgery, I had to use them right away. I've added a little sketch made with them, any problems are because of my eyesight, not the pencils.

Very cool
I am an amateur and still learning how to use these types of things. This is very fun to play with and get a feel with. They are smooth and it's easy to clean up afterwards.
