Best Rice Cooker
I've owned this rice cooker for nearly 3 years and it has been amazing every time, no issues whatsoever. I wash after every use and only use a wet paper towel and soapy hot water. I decided to grab a second one before it is discontinued. I also bought my mom one. It is really cute in person and I love the shape of the machine. I've cooked meat only once (as I only use it for rice), and it came out delicious. As for rice, I use Calrose rice only. I soak it anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours, say if I forget about it. I do find it does come out much better the longer you soak it, and it does cook faster. I only use the serving cup that comes with it and I use the bowl to measure my water. No issues whatsoever. If you don't plan to refrigerate your rice and eat it throughout the day, I don't suggest keeping rice longer than 8-12 hours because in the last 20 years of using many different cookers the rice just isn't that good and gets gross. Plus it is risky. If you plan to store rice in the fridge, it has to be cooled down and then stored within an hour to be safe, otherwise you're taking a risk as well. As for porridge, I've done both raw and cooked rice and I suggest only using cooked/leftover rice. If you leave the porridge in the cooker for many hours it does get watery; I usually take it out to have for a few days.

THE FKING BEST OMG
LET ME TELL YOU, THIS IS THE HOLY GRAIL OF FKING RICE COOKERS! THIS IS COMING FROM AN ASIAN PERSON OK? I used this rice cooker for a few months before writing this review. When I was younger, my mom had a rice cooker that would keep rice up to a week on KEEP WARM. I couldn’t find that model because I couldn’t remember what the brand was. Since then, I’ve tried many rice cookers and all of them would make my rice soggy from the steam or dry tf out of my rice after a day or so because the KEEP WARM option was too hot. I decided to take a chance on this one and let me tell you...I will never buy another rice cooker. My rice is always perfect, I can keep my rice up to a week in this rice cooker, it’s easy to clean and the steaming option is the best!! It’s simple but does everything I need!HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!!!!Also, pro tip out there. Your rice is gonna turn yellow and not keep well if you don’t wash your rice until the water is clear. SO WASH THAT RICE AT LEAST 3-4 TIMES. RUB IT AND RINSE! HAPPY COOKING!!

Satisfied completely!
Nice design and easy to see the display as well as use. The bowl is deep and heavy and has a good coating. I'm pretty sure that I'll be able to use this for at least 10 years and probably closer to 20 years. Last one I had still worked but hearing all this talk about inflation, decided to get a new one before prices go up. Rice is better tasting using this rice cooker than my older one. Technology........!

Love this cute Rice Cooker - Update: Only if it last- Dont waste your money
My old Zojirushi rice cooker finally died after 20 plus years. I thought I would definitely get another Zojirush until I read product reviews. It seems every rice cooker model of theirs has one or more "deal breaker" from the feedback. I thought I could use that smart pot (you know which one I refer to) to cook rice, but no luck after trying different recipes got from internet. I finally decided to take a chance buying this cute Tiger. I am very happy with the purchase, as it is so easy to use. Just follow the instructions, the tiger turns out perfect rice (white, or brown) every time.UPDATE: I dont cook rice often. Last weekend I noticed the rice cook is stuck on "brown rice", no way to reset the setting. I could not believe this is happening only after two years and 4 months since I purchased it. My previous Zoiirush Rice Cook last more than 20 years. I am extremely disappointed, giving it is not a low priced product.....I would not recommend this rice cook to anyone.

Love love love!
I’m born and raised in Japan. I have been using Instapot to make my short grain sticky rice. It was ok, just not great. However, my new Tiger rice cooker made me realize I should have owned Japanese rice cooker! Tiger is very large manufacture in Japan and being in a business for about 100 yrs, comparable to Zojirushi. Rice was shiny, moist and super good!!!The design is somewhat contemporary and compact, not taking up the room in my kitchen counter.

Simple and Intuitive
This is my first over 50 dollar rice cooker I've bought and I don't regret it one bit. I've had it for about a month now and enjoy how parts disassemble easily for cleaning. Cooking has become more efficient. I especially love being able to cook my meal and rice concurrently, therefore cutting down stove/kitchen time and having more time to relax.I would recommend this cooker to anyone.

Works great, I got two!
I got this because I love rice and one of my daughters loves making rice. We've used it several times now and the rice comes out perfect every time. Sushi rice is particularly enjoyable and never soggy. When one of my adult sons wanted one for his birthday I bought one and sent that to him. The parts clean easily, but all with handwashing.
