The Official Blackbook Price Guide to United States Postage Stamps 2015, 37th Edition Mass Market Paperback – June 10, 2014

For the price this is a good reference price guide to U.S. postage stamps. It is a paperback book that is very handy to use. All stamp photos are in black and white, they are a little small ,but still recognizable as long as I used a magnifying glass just to make sure that the stamp and the book photo were the same. Also I had to use a clip to keep the pages of the book open, since it seemed like it always wanted to close when I finally found the section of stamps I was looking for. All stamps are listed by Scott number, but you will have to look for the year they were issued as it's not on every page. This along with not having a FDI , or first day of issue next to each stamp name is why I only gave this book a 4 star rating. Stamp values are given for Plate Block, Single unused, and single used stamp. There are 8 pages of color photos of stamps with Scott numbers #4712 to #4821, and NW138 - NW1312. I was happy to see the book included sections on mint stamp sheets, and Federal Migratory bird hunting stamps, Air Mail, Special delivery, Registered, and Postage Due stamps. The First day cover section has Scott numbers from #551 - 1371 or 1922 to 1969. The book also includes a glossary of first day cover terms, tips for stamp collecting, a market review, and new stamp issues. Nice book for the price. Hope this helped.

This guide is great for updating prices quickly if your not looking for too much accuracy. Some of the disadvantages include: not making clear numbering of prices of blocks, strips, pairs and not listing BOB items currently like airmails etc.Basically it's a good guide for a quick update.

good book for a checklist for your stamp collection, has pricing, and all the Scott numbers, little checkbox at each Scott number to check so you can carry this with you to shows etc. Very handy.

I was very disappointed that the stamps weren't in color and more clearly depicted. The majority of the stamps they display have 4 reference numbers. I have some stamps (US) that have 6 numbers, so I couldn find the value they now have in this particular book.

I will take it to a stamp "show and sell" soon to use as a price guide.

Ver good resource. Would be even better if it included Confederate States, First day covers & US Possessions.

Nice price guide but I think it has many of the values too high, Still it gives you a nice starting point to see where you stand on stamp prices. Nice lay out and Black and White pictures.

Hate it, regret buying this it is very hard to see pictures of stamps and quality is terrible.
