What are the dimensions of the glass? Specifically, I am interested in the opening diameter to determine if I can pull a shot directly into the glass from my naked portafilter.

15 oz size is 5.75” tall, diameters are base:2.1”, top:3.3”, opening:3”, bulge: about 3.5” Measurements are somewhat rough, but they are consistent between glasses I bought in 2015 and 2020.

Does a single glass capture a single or double shot of espresso?

If I understand your question correctly, the glass holds a double shot, although it's also kind of a"chicken or egg" question, as your espresso maker may have different filter basket sizes depending on if you are using enough grounds for a double or single shot. A typical shot is 1oz and a double is 2oz. Therefore you could set these glasses side by side and pull 2 single shots at the same time, or if you want a slightly weaker shot, two 2oz (double) shots at the same time.
