Leave your Phone at Home and get your "ME Time" Back
I wanted to try a different approach to music when I exercise. I mountain bike, City Bike(local trails) hike mountain trails as well as walk-in my neighborhood.Normally I will take my phone which required me to take a backpack, or some other phone carrying device.I hate the arm attached phone cases and anything that required me to add another piece of gear to carry my phone. And as I get older, I have decided that my exercise time is MINE and got tired of being interrupted to answer calls from clients…..”Did I catch you at a bad time….ME: No it's fine I can talk.”Well, I have changed my mind and wanted to leave my phone at home and protect MY TIME.So I started searching for a small lightweight MP3 player that did not require me to add another piece of kit to carry it.I ran across the Mymahdi Sport Music Clip MP3 Player on Amazon that had good review and a great price.I order it and was surprised by the small form factor and the lightness of the player.Setup was a little challenging as the instructions are lacking, but hey who does not like a challenge.First off there is NO 12-hour setting that I could find to change from the 24 hour format. No worries I can deal with that. Her is a hint to help you in setting the time and date. To change fields swipe right to advance to the next field. I spent about 3 minutes trying to “tap” into the next field until I found the secret.Loading MP3 was a breeze as the player is recognized as another storage device and drag and drop MP3 file is just that easy. When I first used it outdoors, I tried attaching to my Polar Heart Rate monitor watch wristband. That worked great standing still. But when I started walking and swinging my arms I will have the music cut out from my BT headset. Like stuttering of the music player. After about a block of this and trying to diagnose the issue, I realized that the Polar Heart Rate Monitor actually has “2 other Bluetooth Channels” it is using for the Chest strap and the GPS puck and wondered if that was causing interference.I switched the Mymahdi player to my other wrist where my Samsung Galaxy watch is attached. Once I made that move, I have no more interference issues. The Mymahdi play is so small and lightweight it is not even noticeable on my wrist. So in the end, the Mymahdi Sport Music Clip MP3 Player is the perfect answer to cutting the cord with your phone(and leaving it at home) and getting your “ME TIME BACK”

Full featured , incredibly frustrating touchscreen **Edited**
**I had to drop the rating because my unit won't charge anymore . I've used it 2 times . When new I noticed the charge port was not flush with the case , it was slightly recessed . The third time I went to plug it in to charge , the cable just pops right back out . The charge port has pushed in completely now to the point that it won't stay in . Just from plugging it in 2 times . It's just too cheaply built . ** Original review :First impressions of the Mymahdi Sport Music Clip MP3 Player :**Good - Comes with some cool extras like the charge cable , USB adapter , earbuds , clip , and watch band .It's tiny and can do more than just play MP3s . It can play video , view pictures , play lossless audio formats , has a radio , can do e-books , has a stop watch , and of course a watch function .**Bad - The watch band is really user un-friendly and doesn't look very tough .Construction feels cheap , touchscreen has a really cheap plastic sound and feel to it . Button press feels cheap , sometimes you have to press them twice . Sound quality is pretty bad . I tested it with some amazing lossless FLAC tracks and a bluetooth speaker that I know sounds good . It played them no problem easily connected to bluetooth, but some songs were unrecognizable because they just sounded weird , like certain elements were over emphasized and other elements were totally missing from the track . Treble on one hip-hop track sounded really raspy too . The touchscreen is one of the most frustrating that I've used . Sensitivity is hit and miss . It seems to have like a 10-15 second lag most of the time . It takes about 5 minutes just to navigate to the folder browser to play my music from the micro SD card and selecting a particular album can be impossible . Swiping is absolutely horrendous and that's mostly what you're doing . The poor touchscreen function is deal breaker . If you have more than 10 albums , playing your music will have you tearing your hair out . The user interface is simple enough , but again the fact that you are forced to use the terrible touchscreen makes the simplest task like playing music nearly impossible . Music and playlists from the SD card must be populated every time you power the unit on for it to show up . It switches back to the onboard memory randomly so you end up having to repopulate the SD card all the time . No custom playlists , I can only get the 3 playlists it ships with from onboard memory and 3 from the SD card . The option to create a playlist causes it to just do a search and it doesn't find anything . Battery life with bluetooth is between 4-5 hours . For it's size I guess that's okay , for an mp3 player in general , it's pretty bad . I hate to nitpick a $30 MP3 player with so many cool things going for it ,but it's just sooooo frustrating to use .Not recommended .

Small because the size matters
The smallest mp3 player I ever had, I love it. It's very durable and well made compare to the size and for it's value, the housing is made from shiny plastic. Featured with a really good built in battery, It has some of the longest hours of playback. The FM radio works very well too but be aware of it that only works with wired ear buds it's not working with Bluetooth headphones. Come with a small back clip and a strap. Worth the money I paid for it, and I would recommend for others too.
